Df and I have had 3 lots of private ivf in the past 2yrs, getting up to £20k ouch, but would gladly pay any amount if had worked but as we all know there is now guarantee :(

sadly all 3 failed, tho 3rd attempt we managed to freeze 5 embroys which didnt happen in 1&2

Financially, emotionally and mentally we are at our limit :( but also know we have 5 chances still and have to take them

depending what you read some say frozen arent as a good and others say better

obv the cost is less then a normal cycle plus less drugs, no injections - whoop :) and clinic says it takes about 20 days starting from your period

who has had a successful pregnancy out of a frozen cycle

Thank you xx

Congrats drizzle :)

Did you have 2 put back in each time

I love twins and look after them lots but if I had twins I wouldn't be able to work

But also know 2 put back in is a better chance

Ahhhhhhhh

Blond Good luck. Just to let you know my fresh round of IVF failed, first FET is a lovely toddler, and I'm 24 weeks pregnant after a second FET now.

It's amazing how quick they can defrost! One of mine did nothing til literally 10 mins before transfer but it obviously was okay. One of our consultants said there is a school of thought now that freezing embryos is another way of checking for quality as only good ones survive. They did say both of ours looked worse than they did when fresh but they still both worked. Good luck again Xx

My Dsis has a beautiful DD thanks to a frozen embryo.
Her first cycle which was fresh worked but sadly she miscarried at 6 weeks then they used the frozen and 9 months later my D Niece arrived after a very easy pregnancy Smile

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with twins from 2 frozen embryos. At our clinic there was very little difference in pregnancy rates from fresh or frozen. I found the process pretty easy and is definitely much quicker. Good luck

I remember this article from a few years ago: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/9509641/Frozen-embryos-better-for-IVF-treatment.html

Good luck if you do decide to go for it.

I visited a baby last week who was at one point a frozen embryo - parents 'fresh' cycle wasn't a success, frozen worked perfectly.

He's a cutie, making me all broody!
