It's got to happen in 2016..

It's maybe the gin. It's maybe the Christmas spirit. But I'm feeling optimistic.

2016 is going to be the year. I'm actually going to pee on a stick and see two lines!

Been trying since January. Been dealing with loooong cycles and no signs of ovulation. It's damn well going to happen now. This will be the last year anyone will ask about our childlessness and whether we are planning for a family. 2016 will be my year. January I will trot off to the docs and make sure I have a referral. And there will be progress!

Anyone else got a new found sense of christmas spirit and optimism?

Hello everyone!
Just a flying update. Went to GP today as that's me now been off the pill for one year and my cycle is still incredibly long and irregular. So I have a referral to the fertility clinic (woo-hoo!), although I was warned there is a long waiting list and it could be up to 2 years before we get an appointment (Boo!). This is CD65 and I think I'm ovulating! At long last! So shall be jumping DH tonight to get in with a good chance.
Hope everyone is doing well and still feeling positive!

Hello Roxy, another victim of contraception! Hopefully your AF settles back down to normal soon.

Hi ladies!
Mind if I join all you lovely positive people?!
We've only been TTC since August 2015 but my AF lasts most of the month since stopping contraception. I had an IUD plus taking cerazette pill on top as have always struggled with cycles. Since trying I haven't ovulated once but I have now seen the GP and he has referred me to gynae next week. We are posted abroad at the moment, due back in the UK in September and would very much like to return with a bump too!!

Look forward to hearing lots of positive news!

I'm so glad I did start this thread Westergille. I've been struggling with negativity the past few days as my irregular cycles are STILL irregular, no change there, but I keep torturing myself by POAS. So from now on, no POAS unless I'm over CD70 or I have symptoms, I sense it's going to be easier said than done.

Love that quote closephine.

I'm going to try and listen to this quote. I think I use negativity as a bit of a self preservation tactic, but it doesn't really work as I fall just as hard whether I've had a negative or positive feeling that month.

It's got to happen in 2016..

Eggsinthefridge, I used to do that daydreaming thing of "I won't be here to implement such and such a project" but it lost its novelty after I was STILL there for the zillionth one.

But this is positivity thread and yes, I do feel 2016 will be my year. We are about to start ICSI for #2 having had it for 3 yr old DD. I feel this year will at least come to some sort of conclusion for me - either I'm pregnant by the end of the year or I plan a fab holiday for 2017 paid for by selling all my baby equipment etc.

Next box of dishwasher tablets for sure closephine!

It is pricey, and I don't really have the funds for it, but I'm giving it a try at least.

I'm down to the last dishwasher tablet and I'm definitely not pregnant as haven't even ovulated yet this month! I WILL be pregnant by the end of the next box (buying another 100 just to be safe).

Sorry nothing helpful to add really. I tried acupuncture last year but it got a bit expensive to sustain. I enjoyed it though and if nothing else it relaxes me.

Feel like a pin cushion after acupuncture, but I'm feeling positive. Feeling motivated now. The acupuncturist gave me some good info about diet which I am hoping to implement and get DH involved too as his diet is pretty shocking.

Good luck to everyone.
Reflexology really helped me.

Currently on day 52, and no period. Peed on so many sticks, but all negative.
Going for a consultation tomorrow with an acupuncturist, so hopefully that may help get things a bit more regulated.

All booked up for my natural fertility appointment which is next Saturday. Going to go the natural, acupuncture route with the hope it helps. As soon as AF makes her appearance (imminent, going by the cramps) I'll be making an appointment for my day 2 bloods to get the ball rolling with the medical side too.

It actually crossed my mind that I could start washing the dishes in order to slow down finishing off the pack!

So many positive ladies, I love it!

Congratulations Millie, great start of the new year,

I'm also having a very positive feeling about 2016, me and DP have been ttc since spring 2013. We're finally up for IVF, starting with the injections in less than 2 weeks. It's all unexplained, so hoping it'll go well first time around.

closephine Grin - love it! I will definitely start doing that (just about to open a big pack of dishwasher tablets so that will be my first one!)

That's hilarious closephine. With it being Christmas and New Year, I found myself thinking that maybe next year I'd have a baby or be pregnant. With work, we plan a lot in advance, and it crossed my mind a lot whether I would be on maternity by the time some things roll around. Never done it with boring household items though
although now, I can see myself starting to with the idea being put in my head!

Does anyone else do weird things like saying to yourself 'I wonder if I'll be pregnant by the time we've finished this 100 pack of dishwasher tablets?' (No, only me?!) I've only got about 15 left in the pack and got AF today. Damn that didn't work, will have to start counting the tea bags!

I'm going to start 2nd go at ivf late January. Lost our first one was gutted but a new year, new start!
Plus 2 pairs of friends have told us of their new pregnancies. Both of which are due when our little one would be. Onwards or hopefully we can do it ourselves before starting the drugs!

I'm on CD44 at the moment. Hoping that I ovulated a couple days ago, but my luteal phase is so short, I'll be expecting AF next week.
