So annoyed about this story-js

I've just read that the Leeds general infirmary are more or less trying to discredit what the hospital porter said about js bringing girls to the nurses rooms by saying js didn't start working at the hospital until 1990.
Well I'm sorry but that's wrong. Js used to sit in the nurses home laughing with the warden prior to 1990. He behaved like he owned the place then.
I started my nurse training in 1987 and the following year I remember seeing him sat there as my friend was trying to sort her accommodation out.
Why does this hospital feel it has to try and discredit its own staff that have worked there all their lives.
They are trying to do a cover up.

I worked at Jimmy's from 1987-1989 - it was common knowledge that Savile "worked" at LGI during that time - I had left Leeds by 1990!

Well done we need more people like you not afraid to stand up and tell the truth. Too many people with real influence chose not to see things that were blatantly taking place around them which is more than sickening.

Loveweekends I would endorse what another poster said about contacting this person

Well I got a call at 3.45 saying they didn't need to come and see me but would just talk over the phone. I told the pc what I had put in the email. She said it would get passed on to the Met under Operation Yewtree but I have my doubts.

Well done, OP!

That motforum post is fascinating, because it was posted in October last year, but it seems no-one took any notice! Anyway it states quite clearly that Savile had the keys to the student nurses' home back in the 70s, so unless it's fictitious (and it doesn't seem to be) that is pretty clear evidence that Leeds General Hospital are being economical with the truth.

OP - I will start by saying well done you for making a stand for what you believe in people like you can make a difference. However, I urge you to also contact someone else with this info and I would suggest Mark Williams-Thomas (the guy who did the Panorama exposing the original newsnight investigation) via twitter if you are familiar with it. After what I have read over the past week I trust no-one at the moment (though think MW-T is one of the good guys) least of all the police. I appreciate that it is West Yorkshire Police you are seeing but read my link regarding North Yorks Police. www.real-whitby.co.uk/did-north-yorks-police-fix-it-for-jim
At a guess they will take a statement from you and then bury it and will probably strongly advise you not to discuss what you know with anybody / media so you can help them bury it. Good luck.

Well done loveweekends, you've been very brave standing up for the truth. Write down everything first before the police get there so you don't get muddled up or forget to say something.

Loveweekends10 - I just want to say thank you for speaking up. And yes, you might want to get this thread deleted (next to the original post, there's a "report" button. Just say "I'm the original poster, and I need to get this thread deleted, please")

With the police now involved, OP, stop posting. Consider showing them this thread and ask at the meeting this afternoon if it needs to be deleted.

You've done the right thing, that's what you've done. Tell the police everything you remember - write down some notes or a timeline so you don't get mixed up or intimidated by the uniforms. It's going to be fine.
