Can't find a thread, and no time for links, but I urgently need somewhere to put a list, so I'll be back after school/nursery/shopping.

Hope all are well

So, DONE
Morning routine
Bleach soaked nappy wrapper
Evening routine
Monday's mission
15 mins detailed cleaning in kitchen

Haven't done the weekly home blessing so that'll have to be done tomorrow. I was mumbling about it earlier and dp asked me what I'd said, I was talking to myself really so had only mumbled a few things, and distracted I said "oh, just thinking about having to do the weekly home blessing" and carried on with my hotspot, and he said "what, are you going to be walking around swinging your incense" He's a funny one isn't he? [eye rolling emoticon]

Tomorrow I also have to go docs about getting more quit smoking drugs.

Wendy, their reports were not exactly brilliant, in fact same phrase repeated in both dss, "shows signs of maturity but is silly and needs to concentrate more"

Wow what a lot of cakes - how did you manage that and a clean house - is there a secret to batch baking like a standard recipe you add different flavours to?

TPF, it's hard to know what to advise spouses in these matters - I think in the end they have to work out for themselves the consequences. It sounds v. difficult.
Working with someone who drives you mad day after day is pretty awful though.

Now have to rush out and buy some bread and crisps for lunchboxes - school trip tomorrow demands crisps apparently.

Oh, dear, I've just checked my list and almost all of it will have to be carried over to tomorrow. Some of it is stuff I have t do every day (like laundry) but the rest I just didn't get done.

bathroom
tidy dining room
clear surfaces
wipe down in kitchen
hob
wash up
w/mashing
tidy ds room
hoover everywhere
paint toe nails
ds from nursery
tidy garden toys away
cut grass

Prof have a glass of wine with me. I've had similar problems, but not all at the same time. It is not nice when there is nothing you can do except stress and worry though

I Must remember to go to the dentist tomorrow. I missed a check up last week, and if I miss again I will lose NHS dentistry...

Who does take travelers cheques on holiday still? And why???

prof. Poor dd. Makes a dent in your trust doesn't it?

Remind your Dh that all bosses are a nuisance. I read something that said people tend to get promoted to a level of incompetence, then stay there (ie a good worker will be promoted until they land a job that they are no longer good at).

Hope things pick up tomorrow.

Evening all.
No time to catch up now, as running behind on my evening routine and I have a friend calling me after EE to talk about family troubles - God what a good friend I am
Anyway, done nothing today apart from my morning routine. I met a lady from my post-natal thread today so was out of the house at 8:40 am and didn't get back until 4:45pm when I had to put dinner straight in.

So, just wanted to say hi.
Have looked at today's mission and might do that now if I have time after normal stuff

Poor all!
prof sounds like you've had a shit day, hope you are feeling better soon
grouchy think it's all been said - menu plan and shut up and put up (to DH!) No matter how he meant it, it's still been hurtful!
Mad hope all well
swan nice to have good reports! hope my ds has a good one
Done loads today. Managed home blessing for the second week running - hurrah! it does take me two hours though, not one, but that's probably due to moving stuff so I can sweep the floors etc. Made cards/presents/cake for my Dad whose birthday it is tomorrow. He is gluten intolerant so cake making a hassle!
House did look lovely, trashed now though . It has to look lovely tomorrow night - having my Marie Curie tea party on Weds morning.
So far have baked:
malt loaf
sultana tea loaf
lemon drizzle
tray of flapjack
tray of choc brownies

To do tonight:
choc cake sponges for 2 cakes (thinking choc cake may be very popular!)
lemon curd layer cake sponges only
apple cinnamon if time

Tomorrow:
Assemble choc cakes
Assemble lemon curd layer
12 muffin size butterfly buns
24 mini buns with icing for kids
anything else I get time to bake!
clean up! get plates/chairs etc ready

Hi all.

Grouchy, I think if dh does the shopping then he has control of the food budget! Menu planning definately the way to go.

Well done to all those who have found missing toys .

Swan - ds1 sounds lovely. Does he do much quiet spiritual reflecting at home?

Done:
massive thunder storm as I left work. Decided to skive off ds last swim lesson (he can bunny hop across the pool some other time) and went to Sainsburys to buy cake etc for dh birthday.
Dh has gone to Gp to collect prescription for UTI. DS has made a bow and arrow and is being Robin Hood.

BBL.

Hi All

Thanks for the support.

I would love to do soup all the time star I do a bloody good minestrone if i do say so myself.

Thing is, he does the shopping I've mentioned menu planning and he's going to tackle the stuff in the freezer. There's loads of cheap meats that will make cracking meals when wacked in the pressure cooker.
He becomes a right PITA at times I tell you and 3 days of no sleep, early wake ups and a grumbling Boris makes it hard to handle

Mad My last 2 pairs of DM shoes were eBay bargains and my Boots were from the charity shop so I'm thrifty with my fetishes too.

You're right, I do my very best and I know he couldn't do half of what I do so stuff him

Back from work and visit to friend to look at her kittens and her courgettes and beans...
Reports arrived from school much as expected, although ds1 seems capable of "quiet spiritual reflection" which is lovely. dd is apparently better at maths than the rest of them.

need to put baked pots in oven and unload dw whilst dd is playing with her friend who has come home with us. Thundery showers.

Grouchy, just beenthinkng about the food thing again, perhaps he just meant it in a general way, asking if you had any ideas, rather than a criticism, perhaps you've done such a good job and food is so nice he thinks it is possible to skimp further.
Sometimes dh will say thngs whch hurt my feelings without quite meaning them to.

Groucy Challenge him to do better and if he can then he can do the whole job.

Thats what I do when DH complains about anything, although I would be really pee'd off with a remark like that. I thought you were the queen of thrift (apart from you DM fetish)

Grouchy - what a strange thing to complain about - can imagine complaints about money spent on cappucinos or clothes, but he is presumably eating a lot of the food and even drink?
Does he have a figure in mind that he wants you to stick to, or is it a particular thing he views as extravagant?

Dh thnks milkman is extravagant, but is happy to waste ££££ on takeaways or deli food when he fancies - so milkman is staying (well not literally) Also veg box he is against, but that's because he won't eat cabbage etc, foolish fellow.
