evening all!

Well the moonsand was easy to clean up, it all just scrums together, bloody ingenious! and a very happy girl too as she got to play with messy stuff! (that wasnt messy woo hoo!)

made meatballs instead of lasagne for tea, very scrummy!
kids in bed, dp out (went out for lottery tickets 2hrs ago! - secretly pleased as i get to muck about on laptop, though he knows ill be secretly pleased so even stevens really!)
and i got a bargain summer dress bnwt for dd on ebay, im well chuffed as i rarely bag the bargains! cant have been many people on there!
everywhere is still tidy, have picked up toys, washed up and put away dishes, will just have a general wander about house picking up and will shine sink then bed...but not quite yet!

jas I was the same when our extension was being built. There is still plenty of stuff needs doing around the house which I try to ignore.

Like TMH said. Its support staff .

No metion of strikes here.

Simply -Thanks for popping in. Maybe we'll see more of you over the hols then...

I've had my hair cut, and collected dc from school (including friends ds who was immediately sick in the playground on leaving), and argued with dp. Again. The poor man can't do anything right atm. I'm so sick of living in a building site, I have no motivation to try and make it nice any more.

Anyway, I'm no going to dwell, I'll shine my sink and try again tomorrow.

Ruby I am also happy to look at your CV, in a previous life I was a Recruitment Consultant for my sins.

I think that it is imporatant to keep CV short - 2 pages. Make sure you show any achievements bullet pointed before your responsibilities, as it is much more important.

Also for fundraising highlight your inovative marketing skills (which is your bag) as all you are doing really is selling the charity. If all else fails throw one of your fab parties

Well reinforcements have arrived - DH is home.

I can relax

Feed the boys - done
DS1 to preschool - done
Tidy and wash lunchtime pots - done
Sweep dining room floor and clean table - done
Lunch for me- done
Ironing
Sort Dinner for all - done
Clean out fridge - done
Wash inside of kitchen windows - done
Wash back door - done
Wash seals on washing machine and tumble dryer -done
Wipe skiring boards -done
Wash blinds - done
Check Shopping list - done
Mission -done
Dinner - done
Boys in PJs - done
Clothes out for tomorrow - done
Swept the floor - done

I even pulled out the fridge and freezer and cleaned behind/under

Hello Simply. Good the new au-pair works well

Report
Simply · 09/07/2008 16:55

Hello to all. Thanks Jas for saying on another thread that you miss me on this one. I don't like to be on MN much with my au pair here. For one thing, I'd rather she didn't know that I use MN and also (oh what can I say that won't drop me in it if she does find and read my posts?) um, I need for working hours to remain productive and set a good example. She is going home soon so I might be back during the summer hols. We have another one starting at the beginning of the Sept term. I think she'll be a self-starter though. I hope so! So...thanks for asking about me. I hope all is okay with most of you. Sorry to hear about your niece TMH. I hope she gets better soon. Bfn.

Hi everyone, good afternoon!
I've been traipsing around looking for stuff to use so that I can make a Genie outfit for my little boy. He has a fairy tale party tomorrow so I have to get cracking on that.
How do you make a turban??
Think I have done my morning routine and hotspots have been put out.
Still have to update my piccies on Ebay - just bunged stuff on with titles only, to get the cheap listing price.
Will be attempting another 15 minute declutter of the toy cupboard again and my 'sewing corner' aargh! Piles of fabric and bits of thread all over the shop.

I have a question about the 2 minutes of reminders - is it the Yahoo group we are supposed to be reading? That's what I have been doing.
Better do that later.

I haven't even looked at my babystep for today and am having a panic attack, but suppose I had better check and read the posts on the group then go 'TICK' and 'DONE' for those.

afternoon all. had a busy day took ds to school he's had a veruy wet school trip today! but says he enjoyed it. he has woken in a much better mood has been speaking to me very nicely no sta, ping or banging..
did all my morning lists before 9.30. then my friend and her lo came round for a tea party, first time since october i've felt able to invite someone round with their dc. they played lovely. dd was a bit wobbly with the idea of sharing her toys for first 10 mins, but then was fine with it.
dinner is on the cook and its fairly tidy in here, i had a quick run round after my friend left and tidied everything back up.
hope all is well

GO she is only 21, so yes, she is young, but in good hands with my SIL.

I have had to my mum her raincoat as she left it at mine, as needs it, 30 min drive, she could have bought one with the cost of deisel at the moment.

Plus I am back taking her shopping in the morning.

Anyway Dinner is on

New potaotes, with cheicken and leaks and carrots

Afternoon All TMH Hope your neice is on the mend. She is only young isn't she? It all must seem so unsurmountable for her. I wish her every strength to get through this difficult time.

And I was thinking of you at 3 this morning. There was a woman on called Masha Gessen who underwent the surgery you are facing for the same reasons. Her book is called 'Blood Matters' and it seemed very interesting so I thought I'd pass on the info.

Got to collect Ed from school. I've been down town all day then I came home and made a scrummy pud for tea/dinner. It's layered swiss roll covered in butterscotch angel delight and whipped double cream [slurp] but not tres healthy

Better get a move on...byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
