Can anyone recommend an American-style fridge freezer?

We have a big space in our new house for a fridge freezer and I'd like to get one of those huge American-style ones with lots of freezer space. I don't really want an ice-maker though, as they seem to take up loads of space inside.
Can anyone recommend one? Where did you buy yours from? TIA!

I have a Beko double door fridge/freezer. Brilliant, got it on sale for 400.00

Oh and my freezer still holds tonnes of stuff. But you do need to be able to get a water supply to it (my Dh did this himself and he's no plumber Grin)

We have a Bosch one. We ordered it without the ice/water dispenser as we also thought it took up too much space.

Long story short - we ended up with a dispenser one by accident.

It is awesome

All summer long, endless ice and chilled water. Brilliant for parties etc. GET ONE WITH AN ICE AND WATER DISPENSER

I've got an Admiral side by side fridge freezer with chilled water/ice dispenser which is still going strong after 9+ years. It was the narrowest one you could buy at the time and it was an ex-display model from a local shop. Its been brilliant.. highly recommended.

Thanks both! We have always had good experience with Bosch and Neff so I think I will go for a Bosch.
Great tip re ao.com too!

ive been looking for one too and have looked on Which - you can sign up for a £1 for 4 weeks. The only one classed as a best buy by which is the bosch one. We thought samsung was ok but too many complaints on review sites (and m'net) of things going wrong with them after a few years. We like the panasonic one but expensive and also it looks a bit big and bulky. We are going for a neff one in the end as our kitchen company gets a trade discount on neff white goods.

Bosch, siemans and neff are made in the same factory we were told.

Basically we found that the old addage of you get what you pay for applies.

I am looking for a fridge freezer too so cant make any suggestions but do look at ao.com for videos of the products, there are some made by Samsun, Beko and LG without the ice maker which all look good and aren't as expensive as some other names.
