do I want a corner sofa?

I can't decide if o like them.

Currently we have a 3 seater sofa and a chair but they don't really fit the room (we've bought them 10 years 2 houses ago) and need replacing.

The room is 5m square but there are lots of doors into different rooms so no unbroken wall anywhere.

It needs to point at the TV

Ours is fab - a big 5 seater from M&S (though DS2's knackered the hooks moving it around to rescue toys that have gone behind it.)

Proper corner sofas are great. Those corner "chaise" things are a waist of space - only 2 seats you can sit on with your feet on the floor and your back supported, yet they still take up half the room.

You are you, we got ours from ikea 4 or 5 years ago, it's huge!! I think 6 seater? It certainly has a lot of room. It is super comfy and the covers come off to wash. We have it in a dark brown colour- sensible with kids. Don't think they do the brown any more... but you can buy covers separately if you fancy a change...

I have to say i'm not a huge fan of the colour choices now, the purple is the best of a bad bunch, imo.

Oh and call them and get fabric samples sent. They have a very wide range. Including green.

We got ours custom built by Nabru. It solved our guest bed problem and living room storage problem. And was really quite reasonable in cost. No regrets here! Even if all my internet ads got directed to their site for weeks till I deleted all my cookies.

I was hoping for one in red or green and they are all brown or grey.

I veer between loving and loathing mine.

I have a massive corner sofa and a 2 seater 'cuddle chair' thing. It's basically a small sofa. Not one of the swivelly circular ones, it's rectangular. So yes, a sofa. I digress.

I love how bloody comfortable and huge the corner sofa is- I like my space in general- but is also perfect for cuddling should said occasion ahem arise, due to the frankly extortionate bottom-thigh area available. On sofa, not me. Well me also, but mainly on sofa.

One of the main reasons I fall out of love with mine is that I cannot flip the seat cushions- the sticky outy but of the L is bigger than the equivalent shape cushion on the straight bit of the L. So if either end of said L gets a bit worn it must stay worn for eternity.

Does that even make sense? V. Tired.

We love ours. The whole family - 5 of us - fit on it with room to spare. When the kids go to bed DH lies on the chaise longue bit and i lie across the other bit so we are at right angles. So comfy and sociable for telly watching!

I had to look around for ages to get a corner sofa with a usable corner. Otherwise with a 2+chaise longue corner sofa, you're actually losing a seat compared to 3 seater + armchair!

Mine is like the PP's picture (2+losenge shaped corner+1). We also use bolster-type cushions to have an internal armrest barrier.

I'm not a great fan but it was the best solution in the space available.

I miss mine. We replaced it with more practical dark leather sofas at the beginning of the year. Although they are nice and they do recline, it isn't they same. However beige faux suede non removable covers were never going to work once we had kids. They looked like a biological experiment!
When we do our extension, we are having another corner sofa. I have decided.

We have one. It's lovely. It's quite big though, 3mx3m, I think.
