Hi, can someone please help and confirm if they have been to balaerics recently that you do not require to complete spanish health control form before departure if fully vaccinated? Seems to confirm on the gov site that you do but also refers you to spanish site which then says no form required with qr code if vax proof is held - eu digital covid cert ?any confirmation much appreciated.

To clarify, as long as adults fully vaccinated with booster and kids under 12. 12-17 year olds need the form for some reason though

It definitely changed in the last week or so. I’m going next month and was preparing to fill it in but saw articles saying not needed anymore and TUI updated the requirements on their form

OK, so I kept getting stuck until I took the under 12s off. Then the form was fairly straightforward. You have to put your vaccine details in and it emails you a code on a pdf. I'm printing it just in case.

@bellac11

So if you only have the 2 jabs and no booster outside of those timescales, can you travel to Spain?

Only if you can provide a recovery certificate instead.

Or if you’re an EU citizen, you can enter with just a negative test done before departure.

For UK citizens over the age of 18, the only options are recovery certificate, booster, or 2nd dose less than 270 days ago.

What you’re saying is correct OP, if you’re fully vaccinated (less than 270 days before 2nd dose, or 2 doses + booster) then you don’t need to complete this form. Children under 12 are exempt.

Disclaimer - I’m Spanish and have just checked the official websites even in Spanish and have also tried to do an SpTH form and it wouldn’t let me when I selected the ‘I have an EU DCC’ option. I’m travelling there again on Monday and won’t be filling in a form.

In any case, even if by some reason this form was required when you landed, they’ll have paper copies for you to complete there. I’ve flown to various Spanish airports since the form was introduced and there are also back up blank copies so don’t worry too much. Just make sure your doses are still valid.

@Thierryhenryneedisaymore have you tried to complete the form? What happens if you click into it? Maybe worth trying to complete it anyway, and see what happens - the nature of the questions will establish whether you actually need it, if you see what I mean. You’ve nothing to lose by having the QR code anyway (ours had to be done within 48 hours of departure).

Just Googled the form and the first thing it says is to check your Covid pass. Took seconds. Mine said Valid, and no need to fill in the form.

Im pretty sure its no longer needed. The spanish site is quite clear. The more i look the more i think its a recent change. This is uk giv site- says form needed if no covid pass. I think its scrapped.

Maybe guidelines have changed in the last few days/week, but we def needed to show proof of vaccination and the health form, and had to generate a QR code for all of us, inc unvaccinated DD (age 10).

I was going to do mine tonight. I am putting kids to bed now but will update when I have tried to complete mine.

This is from the spanish site and it clearly says if covid pass - eu digital cert or equivalent - health control form not needed. As does the uk gov site but i saw something on conde naste article last week which said both. Im wondering if im going mad Sad

As you can see this says no health control form if you have the pass?? I wonder if it has changed in past week.

I was in Mallorca last week, and showing your Covid pass and showing the passenger locator form are two different requirements. You have to show both, for definite.
Children also need the locator form, even if unvaccinated.

Just jumping on this, Im also interested in whether Spain consider you fully vaxed if you have 2 jabs but no booster?
