Lilsmum has been through the mill recently, what with her dd and now her own health worries. Today she is going back to the hospital for an ultrasound to find out what they can do for her - here's the thread about what's happening .

Anyway, just wanted to wish you luck for today lilsmum and hope that all goes well

lilsmum, oh poor you over dd again - I hope it's nothing serious and you get that followed up ok.

I think you are very sensible not to get overexcited re the radiologists' findings, but it's perhaps a good sign that things may not be as serious atm as they could be?

I do feel for you, I'm sure the waiting and the not knowing is almost worse than having a diagnosis at this point... Glad your mum and dh are around to offer you support though.

Keep us up to date with what's happening to you - if nothing else writing it all down will help you to clarify how you feel about the whole situation. Plus it can act as a kind of "diary" of your progress (medical and emotional) which will be good to look back on as time goes on.

also, i was on the verge of a emotional breakdown on mon morn as dd 17mth (after 7-8 wks of walking fine) wouldnt weight bear on her heel again was just crying when trying to walk, but luckily has been walking since but with a limp....sigh....there is obviously still a weakness there, so had to ring the consultants secretary to give them a kick up the backside for the report on the MRI scan.

i had the ultrasound and tbh i dont really know whats gonna happen, i will prob have to see the vascular surgeon next week to find out the results of the report. the radiologist said the blood was gushing through the artery which is a sure fire sign (they measure velocity (sp?)) but he couldnt see a narrowing, but they have to report on it before i find out exactly what the results and outcome will be, having said that the first ultrasound i had it was a different radiologist and he said "it was normal" so i am not getting excited yet lol.

my mum came to the scan and got all excited when he said he couldnt see a narrowing, but i am not gonna get my hopes up yet, obviously it was there a few weeks ago and i have been told its not something that will get better, just worse.
