Has anyone had their tonsils removed. Day 2 yesterday was great, was talking and eating Okish but today has been really painful. There is a thick yellow coating where the tonsils used to be I'm assuming this is normal after the op?

Salted crisps work well, the crisps scrape the crap off and the salt doesn't do any harm either

That may be a very good idea,I shall try that tomorrow as I've had all doses for today. Thank you.

Try alternating the paracetamol and codeine with the ibuprofen 2 hourly. That will give you a more even coverage. So 8 -P&C, 10 -ibuprofen, 12 P&C, 2 ibuprofen, etc.

I lived on Mini Eggs and crisps. I put half a stone on Blush
Good luck! It's worth it in the end.

If I remember correctly I think I kept this up for at least 10 days then started to scale back.
Dont forget to eat rough, hard food so the scabs get knocked off

Thanks ,I'm taking them as much as I can codeine, ibuprofen and paracetamol together 4 times a day but really could do with 5 times a day to cover the pain but that would be exceeding the dose.

Day 5 and 10 will be hellish. Dont know why but they are.
Keep on top of your painkillers, take them regularly, don't wait until you are having pain.
