mercy, we tried to disguise it in many things, but only icecream was a strong enough flavour - our dd would actually throw up if we gave it to her straight, so we needed extreme measures (and icecream 4 times a day feels like quite a treat when you're 2)

I'm afraid we go for the forced squirting as well.

agree with trinityrhino followed by a sweet for being so good

we used to have to basically hold her down at that age and then using the syringy thing you can do it bit by bit into the back at the side of the mouth abd they have to swallow, she won't like you for it but it has to be done

lying down is best(with you straddling her gently)

Yes disguise it if you can - orange juice?

Or I'm afraid it's a 2 person job where the child lays across your knees whilst being held tightly, while the other person shoots the medicine down the side of the mouth (along the cheek). I mean a few shots at a time - or try a dropper. It's horrible but neccesary.

Good luck!

we mixed it up in a bowl with some vanilla icecream as the "flavour" of the antibiotic is often quite strong - but I guess this only works if your child likes icecream !
