grrr

Fed up with them

Have had lots of tests and I have a dodgy left kidney with little function so if it continues then they will whip it out apparantly.

Meanwhile I feel like shite

Well it's not pain as such I just feel really awful and exhausted. If i leave it a while it becomes painful but now I know the early signs I can catch it.

I'm not medical in any way but our neighbour went through a period of getting really awful kidney infections (think she ended up at A&E on one occassion) and eventually, they put her on a low-dose antibiotic for a year (they do this with some kids who get repeated UTIs aswell).

Maybe you have to have the infection a certain number of times? the symptoms are awful though - hope you aren't in too much pain

Not asked.

It has been about 2 months since my last infection

have they thought about putting you on a prophylactic antibiotic?

Am not worried about having it taken out really, but the consultant said that it would have to really cause a lot of probs for them to resort to that.

Yes it is, this is the 4th infection this year. Never had one before. It's all very odd.

I had an ultrasound, CT scan and something called a DMS (I think) scan all in a short space of time! The kidney is very scarred and has cysts in it and he said the likelihood is that it didn't develop properly in the first place. Why it has suddenly started acting up is a mystery though.

youd be better off without it CD

your body can function fine with out it

loads of people only have one kidney and dont know anything about it

look after yourself, take it easy xx
