Brief history, i had 1a1 cervical cancer over a year ago now, i'm 18 months clear so far, however i am scared its come back, i am having pains in my lower abdomen and i have a reddish brown discharge / blood after sex.
My problem however is when i had the lletz treatment for the cancer i found it horrific, the oncologist didnt give enought time for the local injection to work and despite me telling him it hurt all he kept saying was its nearly over, i cannot go through that again, the nurses there are wonderful but that man left me in agony for a year afterwards, having repeat smears was excruciating, and sex was out the window for at least 8 months after.

Thank you both, have tried to get a dr's appointment for today but there are no female dr's in today and the male ones are all over 50 and hide behind their desks as soon as you say vagina, so will have to try again on monday.

Feeling slightly better that i have written this down, i hope i dont put anyone off going for a colposcopy, the first time i had it done a nurse did it and i didnt feel a thing, in fact i was so relaxed and pain free i could have gone to sleep.

I know you're scared Orangemoon, and you've every right to be after that experience. But you still need to get it looked at. As FTG says, it could be as simple as a cervical erosion, but you also know it could be something much more sinister, given your history. Please go and get it seen to

Oh that sounds horrific orangemoon.

I'm sure that with your past history you don't need me to tell you to get it checked out. It could be nothing (I get it due to cervical erosion) but you need to know. I'm not surprised you are anxious after how you were treated, I'll keep my fingers crossed everything is ok.
