Can't get onto a site I use all the time. It's not down. What's wrong?

Thanks TMAM. Threw myself on the mercy of The Bloke Up The Road. That link was almost right. Had to change the Advanced settings to some very odd resolution that is Not Recommended at all. I need a long lie down and a look at shoe websites.

No lj still.

When's DS2 arriving? I need cheering up.

Through a wireless router which I turned off hours ago and turned back on again.

The screen resolution is buggered. I know how to get into the option to change it but the only options are the standard 600x800 and 7somethingx1something which are laptop settings not netbook settings. The resolution it was on before I stupidly changed it isn't available on the stupid little slider thingy.

Keep calm.

You should be able to get your screen resolution back through your control panel and your settings, shouldn't you? I'm on a Mac so I'm not sure what to do on a PC.

How do you access the internet? Through a small device attached that you plug in or through a box that is attached to a phone line then you connect to that wirelessly? If it is through the box, then switch the box off, wait for a minute, then switch it on again. This reboots it.

I can't see half the screen and I can't get my resolution back.

I'm getting a migraine. DH stuck at work all night and I wanted to use the computer.

Going to have to log off if I can't fix the resolution. It's ridiculous.

I don't know what any of your post meant TMAM.

Bummer. I have just opened an account as it looks quite interesting.....

What about if you break your connection with your ISP? Reboot your router sort of thing? I'm no expert, I'm sure WMMC will have a better idea.

The option to change back to my original screen resolution has gone. I can have stretched or more stretched. And I'm on a netbook so can't see half the bloody page.

What the hell is happening today?

Downloaded illegal anonywhatsit. Tried to run, enter details, click next says 'your trial has expired' and sends me back to the beginning. I haven't started my trial unless my free trial was a 3 second tease. And it forced me to change my screen resolution before it would download so everything's fecking squashed.

Where are my damn shoes TMAM. I'm getting tetchy.

Oh send the boy, do. He's adorable. I won't be here. Am downloading terrorist fodder as I type. He can come and see his future MIL being carted off by his future FIL. It's something to tell the grandchildren after all.

WMMC, after this 7 day trial of illegal software, will I be kicked off the site again?

Okay, the problem is that service to your ISP has been suspended. There is a way round this - use an anonymiser service which bounces your request through another server. Hang on I'll post a link.

There has been a subtle change caused by the upgrade I must admit. Instead of saying 'this page cannot be displayed' it says 'Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage'. Brilliant.
