Please help me choose trees to replace this massive conifer

Picture in profile of our garden. Hopefully slide and 16' trampoline will give some idea of scale.

We're having this huge conifer cut down next week and want to replace it. Have thought about 2-3 silver birches but has anyone any other ideas?

Must be native. No conifers!

We already have a beautiful copper beech at the end of the garden (out of sight, extreme left of photo) and one large silver birch also out of sight halfway down the garden.

The tree in the foreground is an ornamental cherry which is is being reduced by 25% next week.

We took a lot of overgrown shrubs right back last year so are waiting to see what and how they grow back - before that no fence was visible anywhere in the garden.

Beautiful garden SueW. I was going to suggest a Silver Birch, but you have one already. I have a really beautiful one in my garden but I do not know its name. It has deep red leaves right through the summer and then they turn a deeper red and drop off late autumn. I would take a picture of it for you, but there are no leaves yet.
Thats pretty useless info really, sorry
