im going to risk it as soon as i have an area fenced off to protect them from my dc! they mean well, but marauding toddlers with scissors or god-knows-what... would ahte to see all my efforts wasted!

Thanks everyone. I'm up north but we have got lovely weather. I might just risk it. I can't wait a moment longer

Mine went in a month ago , but then we're down on the South Coast and have been in no danger of frosts since about February.

It depends where you live. You should plant out when all danger of frost has passed. The average is at the end of May, but I usually go for mid May here in the far south. If you live really far north it could be as late as mid June. Mind you with the lovely weather at the moment it is really tempting to take a gamble and go for it!
