Does alcohol disappear when you cook it?

Sorry if this has been done before, does anyone know whether I can give ds (8 and a bit months) food that has booze in it? I have a really nice risotto recipe that uses vermouth that I think would be a winner but don't want to give it to him if it will make him sozzled! Ta

Yes ir does, as long as it has been heated enough and for long enough. So Coq au Vin would be fine but sherry trifle would not. I'd be more worried about any salt in the food for a littlie tbh

Alcohol does disappear when you cook it but I personally wouldn't give anything with booze in it, disappeared or not, to an 8 month old.
