What happened to Snickers Spread? That was divine from the jar, big swirls of caramel.

OH yes, nutella was around then Geo, but so was an alternative called Nutch, which I actually preferred and the glass jar it came in could be used afterwards as a drinking glass. My parents have many.

Mmmm, Nutella on warm toast, all melty and yummy! DD likes it on a spoon, DS and I on toast, DH avoids it like the plague.

I have memories of chocolate spread on crumpets when I was a child - about 30 yrs ago - anyone know if Nutella was available in the UK or was it something else???? (We can't get crumpets over here - the DCs don't know what they're missing).

I miss Tesco Fairtrade organic chocolate spread - better than Nutella. Better than G&B, surprisingly (in terms of cocoa content and sugar content).

I have just had to buy Coles' own brand here in Australia because it has less sugar in it than Nutella (Coles' is Belgian import)

DS has been having it for ages (he's now 21mo) and loves it. The nut = good protein, so am happy for him to have it in moderation

I love it too, especially on hot buttery toast - yum!

i give the Dcs nutella on rice cakes in their healthy packed lunch boxes. They are not allowed chocolate biscuits

YES. Its the only thing DS1 will eat on toast. We limit him to 3 times a week.

asda do a good generic nut and choc spread

also do organic peanut butter

Pushme, the paediatrician assured me that a slice of toast with Nutella and orange juice was a perfectly balanced breakfast for dd.
Again, the paed might be paid by Ferrero to say so

I've not seen it in Sainsbugs, but our "little shop", a Nisa I think, stock it. 'Tis very yum!
