In date meat smells bad, will cooking make a difference?

I froze some meat on date of purchase, but having defrosted it it doesn't smell so good. Am I wasting my time by stewing it? No problems with my freezer as far as I am aware.

I guess under other circs I would have probably ditched it just in case but had alreayd prepped everythign else. Just wondering what effect 2 hours cooking would have.

Noooooo, don't cook it but do take it back for a refund (as long you have original packaging of course)

Lets say I definitely wouldn't leave uncovered in the fridge. But I'm doing a goulash so the paprika will mask smell and taste I guess. But obv don't want to give anyone food poisoning.

I don't think cooking will get rid of the toxins if it has really gone off. Sorry, I wouldn't eat it myself.

Bin!

Not worth it. Do a veggie goulash.
