Store cupboard recipes

I have been contemplating 14 days isolation, and not being able to get a delivery. So I would like to stock the store cupboard with enough to keep us going for a fortnight. What are your favourite store cupboard recipes please?

Puttanesca sauce for pasta. I also use it as a homemade pizza topping.
Can't do a link but everything is from the cupboard.
Tin tomatoes
Small tin anchovies
Some olives
Chilli fresh or dried
Optional capers

I do a thing in my rice cooker, ricw, coconut milk, nuts and a handful of frozen peas and sweetcorn, tinned sweetcorn would work just as well, I tend to add a piece of salmon, top up with water and switch on.

I also cook rice and smoked haddock in a 50/50 nix of water and orange juice. You can get long life fruit juices.

I've just found some recipes on the Campbell's website.

Cambells condensed soup.

It can make a sauce, be used to cook chicken in, fill vol-au-vonts, make pie fillings, loads you can do with it, in fact I don't know anyone who actually eats it as soup.

Bacon lasts ages and strictly speaking doesn't need to be refrigerated.

Frey Bentos pies and puddings are not the best in the world but are easy to store.

I use passata a lot, with pasta but also with stuffed cabage leaves, meat, chickpeas.

Curry sauces can be good and make life easy.

My dad has just had a delivery from 'parsley box' he's only had one meal so far but thought it was really good. I've not used them but they apparently can be stored for 6 months in a cupboard.

I love red lentil bolognese, just substitute the mince with them and cook as normal. I use a beef stock cube for more flavour but obviously leave that out if you are veggie.

Chickpea curry is good, there's a few recipes on BBC food, all you need is a tin of chickpeas, pasatta, an onion and spices. The recipes normally ask for fresh ginger and garlic but work as well with ground.

My DD has been buying loads of cake mixes, nice ones like ginger loaf cake.

Tuna pasta, you just add a tin of tuna to some tomato sauce, sweetcorn is optional. You can then bake with cheese on top or just serve from the pot. It's also nice with some cream cheese stirred through it.

I always have a couple of tins of evaporated milk, I just use it in coffee and find it nicer than UHT.

Do you have freezer space?

Part baked baguettes and rolls are cheap if you buy the supermarket own brand and have a good shelf life.

Tins of evaporated milk are good for scones or pancakes and would conserve fresh milk for other things.

Red lentil dahl, lots of recipes but this is my fave. Equally as good without the coconut milk. The spices and main ingredients are all Store cupboard stuff, I use any old veg that's due to go off so we have it regularly for that purpose!

Thanks for the link.

Jarred peppers is a good one. I also found tinned spinach from the ethnic aisle is good. I have a jar of salmon paste, for an emergency pasta sauce (Jack Monroe).

Pasta and pesto is a frequent handy meal here. Or the stir in sauces with pasta.
Jars of peppers are really useful if you have rice and peas and whatever for a stir fry. I always have a jar or two in.

Fish cakes if you have any tinned tuna or tinned salmon. I use ground polenta instead of breadcrumbs.

If you have dried chickpeas then falafel. Bake them in the oven rather that using loads of oil to fry them.

Fried rice can be knocked together with whatever veg you have be it fresh, frozen or tinned. Top tip is to use cold cooked rice and put your soy sauce in the cold rice before frying it so it absorbs it.
