Using the dough proving function on oven

I made my first ever loaf of bread today with room temperature proving but my oven does have a dough proving function.
Has anyone used this on their oven?
Is it better?
Shall I try it?

The dough proving function on my oven is too hot. So I usually put it on for 15mins and then turn it off and leave it shut the remainder.

You can use the defrost setting on a microwave on 15 second bursts

I have a dough proving function on my ancient oven in our second home. It’s absolutely brilliant. I miss it when we aren’t there.
