I love cheese.

Recently I read of cheese being added to or put on top of a food and I thought ‘that’s bloody brilliant - why have I never done that?’ Holy Cheese Grail and all that.

Of course I forgot what it was 😢. Any bright cheesy ideas - this has been driving my crazy?

Hmmmm. Breakfast here.

So it wasn’t cheese on sausage, poached egg, toast or omelette...

Cheese and mango chutney sandwiches are delish, toasted or otherwise Smile

Was the cheese on a toasted tea cake or hot cross bun? Also delicious

I was just about to say, was it the cheese bread and butter pudding? I've not tried it but read about it on here and it sounded lush.

Also- do try fruit cake with good wensleydale. You won't regret it

Oh, oh, OP! Was it the cheese and onion bread and butter pudding?
I made that and it was delicious! Like a toasted cheese sandwich had sex with a quiche and the pudding was their baby Grin

There was a great cheese on toast thread recently with eye opening (for me) posts about what bods put under the cheese before toasting (marmite, chutney, onion marmalade etc). Was it that ?

Do you remember what kind of cheese it was OP? Cheddar? Paneer? Cottage? Stilton? Cornish Yaargh?

Grated? Or melted?

Problem is, most vegetarian savoury hot dishes would go well with a nice handful of cheddar on top.

Crack an egg on the bread and toast it, it's lovely when it's cooked!

I recently discovered adding sultanas to cheese and biscuits.

Digestive, Brie and sultanas. Lush!

Cheese & Marmite toasties! I had one today Grin
Other things I put in are;
Chicken/ham & cheese/onion/chilli sauce
Egg mayonnaise (believe me, it's nice warmed up!)
Then there's the classic - baked beans with/without Marmite Grin

Although to be entirely accurate to the original version that I know (Canada) it has to be cheese curds. I'm not sure what cheese curds are and I thought it looked like boak, but hey, grated cheddar works for me.

Tomatoes should never be kept in the fridge. They're awful eaten fridge cold. They're not great at this time of year full stop, but they're even worse chilled.
