Ideas for tinned sardines/mackerel/pilchards

Happily for me (my DH loathes it so I haven't eaten it much recently) the DCs (3 and 1) both appear to really like tinned fish, apart from tuna. I generally just serve it mushed up in a quick tomato sauce with pasta, but want to try a few other things with it. Any ideas?

Blend with melted butter, seasoning and breadcrumbs for a nice fish pate....

I make a sort of fish pie for DS with tinned mackerel. I mash potato with butter and seasoning and stir in a tin of mackerel and some spinach (fresh or frozen). I freeze it in small portions and sometimes put cheese on when I warm it up. He likes it, and he's a picky bugger particular.

Mix sardines with cream cheese and lemo juice for another nice fish pate...

In a jacket potato with lots of melted butter.

I make fish cakes with a mix of fresh cod/salmon/haddock and tinned.

Boil potatoes (or mix of potatoes/sweet potatoes/swede/carrots) and mash with butter/marg, add some grated onion/carrot (apple if preferred) and then when cooled a bit, the fish.

Shape into balls, flour, egg and breadcrumb, pop onto baking tray and chill for 30 mins. Pop in hot oven for about 20 mins until they are lovely and crispy.

Right, pate, fish pie, fish cakes and baked spuds are all going on the menu in the near future :) Lovely!

Roll in herbed breadcrumbs and parmesan and fry for a few minutes then serve with cous cous.
