Hi

Can any one recommend a curry cookbook for beginners. Both DH and I love cooking and I'd love to try making my own curry, but so far I cant find a book thats eay enough for beginners!

Someone posted the other day about Madhur Jaffrey's Curry Easy which sounded good. The reviews on Amazon are excellent but say that sometimes it's a bit basic and obvious - so if you are a beginner I'd say that sounds ideal.

There's always the BBC Food website as well:

I have a Madhur Jaffrey book which is excellent and easy to follow. It's the Illustrated Indian Cookery Course. Possibly my most used cook book.

Another vote for Madhur Jaffrey's books. The lists of ingredients look a little daunting at first but, once you have the various spices, you'll find most of the recipes use the same ones but in different ways.
