Just wondering about all things fish! We have been thinking about getting a pet in the house for a while. My little boy is mad about all things sea creatures. We stopped by a pet shop today & ended up looking at all the tropical fish. How much work would be involved in having a tank with some tropical fish? I saw a good deal on a tank of about 70 litres I think. Didnt get a chance to talk to the staff but can anyone tell me how much work is involved & what kind of fish might be good for beginners? He of course loves clown fish so maybe some of those & something else... they also had some hermit crabs which he loves. Can you have them in with fish? Any tips appreciated

Clown fish and hermit crabs are marine tropical. I wouldn't reccomend a saltwater tank to a beginner unless your willing to put in a lot of time and money. Freshwater tropical would be your best option, have a look at tetras, danios and barbs. 70L is a good size and barbs can be very pretty, just don't mix them with fish that have fancy fins like guppies as they like to nip!
