(well actually it was yesterday ..)

about suffragette coins ...

www.bbc.co.uk/ahistoryoftheworld/objects/iVUVhaKVREWjsHrr9IoOOA

which for some reason seemed to chime as a pretty cool non violent way to spread a message. No wonder it feels like supressed history.

As you were. ..

I'd guess one of the main remaining uses for coins is parking and slot machines. And loos....I'd probably be pissed off if any messaging on them, no matter how worthy, prevented them from working.

Back when we used cash more, some businesses used to promote their stuff by placing coin-sized stickers on all the pound coins they handled.

We should have a TERF factory and imprint as many coins as possible with “Adult Human Female”. Then hope a few make their way to Scotland where a certain sensitive actor receives one as change for his latte and has an attack of the vapours.

Is there a 21st century equivalent?
When you but from Etsy or eBay sometimes it asks you if you want to donate to a charity as part of the transaction.
You could have fairplayforwomen or keep prison single sex set up.
Except I wouldn't recommend as it'd cause tra to target your business.

I wonder if it would still be as effective a means of non violent and establishment annoying protests these days ?

Well, tbh no, it probably wouldn't be very effective now because people don't use cash much.

I found my UV pen the other day and need to start using it again along with a sharpie. I marked a few notes a couple of years back. I wonder where they ended up. I can't remember my username back then but I marked the notes with my username initials too I case any fellow FWR readers found one. Might have been DtP. I'll have to see if I can find a list of my usernames.

Apparently you can buy letter punches on ebay. And UV marker pens.

I was watching a YouTube history snippet about Britannia on coins, and one popped up as an aside.
