Whatever it is, there's support and help out there. Pretending to be fine is not the answer.
It's ok not to be ok.
Access the supports , please.

Thank you @Hmmmm88 I think you're right. I needed to "say" it. Maybe it will help.

You posted because you needed to get it out there somewhere. I've done the same in the past and instantly regretted it but surprisingly i got so much help and advice and it genuinely was really helpful. Whether you decide to talk or not OP i truly wish you all the very best. It might feel impossible right now to feel positive but things will get better just keep strong and keep fighting. If you don't want to talk publicly please feel free to inbox me anytime

Some people can be, it's a question of finding them I suppose.
If you don't want to discuss further on here, please try to contact your GP or the Samaritans so that you can access whatever support you need.
I wish you all the best OP.

I really wish I hadn't posted. I just need to get on with things and pull myself together. I'm genuinely touched and grateful for the responses on here though. Thank you so much all of you. If only people in real life were so caring and compassionate.

Nobody has asked you to pretend you are fine, that's the worst thing you can do, people have asked you to please not give up.

Report
LadyGAgain · 24/05/2020 08:34

You don't have to pretend. It's ok to not be fine. However there is help available to bring you through your journey to positive mental health. Would you like to talk about what is bringing you down?

Ghostlyglow · 24/05/2020 08:23

Thanks for responding, guess I'll just keep pretending I'm fine

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.
We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website or email them on [email protected].

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek real lifeL help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

We are going to move this thread to the Mental Health section shortly.

I've literally never messaged on this before and have looked at stuff for help for around 3 years. Are you OK?? Please ask for help. People are here to help and I've always seen that.

You know people will ask what's wrong etc so why not just say it in your op?! Maybe yabu, maybe YANBU. How would we know if you're not going to even bother saying wtf your situation is?!
