I was wondering if anyone could help. For the past 6 years i have had implanon implant which was great for me . I went to get old one out and new on in 2 weeks ago. Was told implanon now changed to nexplanon since the first day of impant been put in my arm has swollen badly started just round the elbow now its from the wrist to under my arm. Have been back to family planning on 3 occassions . 2nd occassion i was iven antibiotics and told it might be an infection??. I had to go back 2 days later because the pain is unbearable i saw 3 drs and the 3rd doctor took it out telling me to put a tuba grip on it to get swelling down. Today i had to visit my own gp who was baffled by the swelling and the pain as i have had implant removed. Has also given me another course of antibiotics incase it is infected. Later on today dr at family planning phoned me and says she was concerned and is going to write to my gp asking for my arm to be scanned. I am really worried as gp says my lymph glands are swollen and my arm looks like an elephants leg. It is not red but is painfull and i cant straighten it as its to swollen. Has anybody else had this reaction to nexplanon and if so what is the diagnosis as i feel im getting pushed from pillar to post. Thank you
