Hi there

My health insurance has given free access to the Peloton app during lockdown. I signed up at the end of May and have been building up use since then (mixed in with my normal exercise). Will be very sad when free period is up, I've already passed feedback on that I'd love it to be extended, as now I'm getting into it.

I've not tried a live class yet, our WiFi wasn't up to it initially, but we've now sorted that out, but I haven't quite worked out my timetable to work with the workouts I want to do, so many of them are during US peak hours.

I've got a couple of friends who've got the full Peloton bike and subscription, they love it, we've got a bog standard spinning bike and treadmill at home, so appropriate equipment (definitely not going to invest in the bike).

Just wondered if full subscribers have more live classes available? Who's your favourite instructors? And app users, what do you like using outside of the bike? I enjoyed a couple of the runs, found strength classes pretty challenging. Not tried any yoga yet. I seem to keep drifting back to Leanne Hainsby for spin (must be that advert 😁), she seems so sweet, and I like a British instructor. But I did do a Cody spin last week which was quite fun. Only ever attempted 1 real life spin class before (about 20 years ago 😱) and absolutely hated this, surprised at how much am enjoying this.

Hi, I have the app Since June after buying a basic spinning bike in lockdown. It is such good value for money, I am overweight and not sporty at all but love the gym. I have basic set of dumbbells for strength Peloton classes and can see and feel the difference in how my arms and shoulders have toned up. I love a Christine 15 minute class, at first I couldn’t complete the class with dumbbells and just did the movements without so it has been great to track my progress. Any of the 10 min arm toning ones are brilliant to fit in too. I also discovered Meditation, go to sleep listening to Ross Rayburn sleep meditation and see what you think. Through Ross I have also done some basic yoga, never been a huge fan but I have been able to do some of it and he aims at different levels. I love Cody & Christine on the bike, there is a brilliant 5 min stretch by Matt too which I try to do each day whether riding or not, it has been great to improve flexibility and takes such a short space of time. Cody’s Britney ride is quite funny, his ability to dance in the saddle is quite something! I just find the time flies by. The app is only £12.99 a month which I think is very reasonable. There are lots of Facebook groups which can be good for motivating, often the live classes don’t match my free time but it is staggering how many people there are in them. There are also a few outdoor walk/run classes which were useful in lockdown just to have a voice to listen to and focus on, very few of these classes and I soon moved on. I think full Peloton (with bike and subscription) have access to more classes, I have see people on Instagram doing classes (not live) which are not in my list.
