Only just started couch to 5k, now i have lost some weight sicne my last bout of running but yesterday i did week 2 of the couch25k about 10.30am and after coming in i had a shower nice and hot and just couldnt get warm, had a sunday lunch then later in afternoon felt almost like i had the heeby jeebies and had a really long hot bath, gave in and after a lemsip took myself to bed at 8pm, slept solid then woke at 2am freezing and shivery again - i dont have a cold or anyhting and even today at work i felt all cold again i just cant warm up - is this common and how can i counter act it because its run 2 tomorow and i dont feel motivated if its going to make me feel ill. tp be honest i think your right, my brother sounds as if he has the same and he hasnt been running - i was only out half an hour doing wek 2 run on couch to 5k - dd who did it with me is ill today with same thing - we didnt bother going out tonight to keep the running up so have just tucked her up . Dont know how long to leave it in case we end up rough again!

Sounds like you've got a virus. Don't blame the running!

How long did you run for?

I felt perfectly healthy before i went out though and all giddy when i finished then it hit, i dont feel snotty or anything either just cold - have had parecetomol and that has stopped me being so cold, will see how i am in the morning. i have just googled stuff and it was on about post run shiivers but they generally were a couple of hours not days so perhaps not i will await the lurgy....

I don't think it is connected to the running.

Sounds like start of a cold type bug. I feel a but that way at the moment too.

If you don't feel great tomorrow then postpone your run. Wait until you are feeling better.
