My brother is an assistant in his kids' school! He has been given training to give one-to-one support to one particular child who has problems, and is loving it.

My male friend was a teaching assistant, and uis now doing his PCGE for primary teaching. He's gay though so not a dad.

School where I volunteer as a teaching assistant has a male teacher for the reception class now that it out standing usually do not see them at primary until yr 4 and above. He very good have seen him in action in many ways better than the women.
