this lady bought a pushchair off me it was in fab condition i sent it next day she has just sent me this

received the pram this afternoon and im not happy with the pram as the wheels are worn right down and the pram itself is very unsafe.I would be very grateful if you can arrange for it to be collected and my money refunded as it wasn't described like this.Otherwise i will be disputing it with e-bay.

the wheels were certainly not worn down they had slight wheel wear its only 6 months old & definatly not unsafe i have explained that its a used item

if she disputes it to paypal are they likely to refund her

well they cant actually cos paypal is empty

AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
some people do expect brand new as 2nd hand prices

some people are terrible i sold my mamas and papas pram for £100 which i paid £450 for and the buyer emailed me saying that it wasnt a described and that it wasnt worth £100 and can i part refund them ??
she had no chance the pram as less than 6 months old and had only been used for about 8 weeks told her where to go,
anyway they left me posotive feedback but looking at her feedback she had tried it on with a few people like this!

I think people try it on all the time, if they decide something isn't them, or they found another nicer one, or whatever.

I think people expect brand new even when you state used sometimes.

I just sold a really nice skirt, hardly worn, for peanuts- £.99 and they wrote saying they didn't believe it was the label it was! And that the 2.40 postage was too much. When I emailed, telling her where I'd bought it and she could take it to the shop and they'd confirm it,and the postagae covered time and packaging ( £2.40 ffs) she wrote back really apologetically, and then wrote again saying her daughter just popped in and snapped it up. It obviously didn't fit her! So she thought of these ludicrous things , when sh'ed only paid £3 odd pounds. WHAT!

Glad she's "apologised" though. Maybe it's something to do with the fact they can't get revenge through leaving negative feedback anymore..

Sounds like she was trying it on. I sold a top the other week, which had been worn once. The lady received it and emailed me to say it was washed out and she wanted a refund. I emailed her back and said that it was worn once, as in the description. She then left positive feedback and I heard nothing more! Maybe it's the same woman and she does it with everything.

I would reply by asking what exactly she means by unsafe - as surreylady says, maybe she is putting up wrong. Again, as said, point out that you stated it was used.
You could then do as paypal will do - tell her to return it in the original packaging so that you can check the condition and the id (don't explain anymore at first about the id, but if she asks just say that you place an id on your items to ensure that buyers don't send the 'wrong' one back)
Once it has been returned you can refund her, but even paypal don't make you refund the return postage - that bit is up to you.

If a paypal dispute is opened - which I think she will do as she will probably be reluctant to arrange for its return herself - she will be told by paypal to return it. Continue with the dispute by giving your side of the story pointing out evidence that it is actually 'as described'
If she wins the case she will be entitled to a refund. paypal will hold any funds in your account for the refund. If there isn't any money in the account paypal will eventually seek to retrieve it from you just like any other debt collector.

My experience of Paypal is Yes they will refund her - whatever your agrument unless you have evidence and sometimes even if you do - my experience of buyers is that she knows this. Sorry to be negative but it is a tough one - might be worth looking at your description and pointing out that where you said it was used - also it would be helpful if she could define unsafe - did it go as one piece or has she perhaps put it together incorrectly? She will have to wait until there are monies in the account to get a paypal refund but as soon as there are Paypal will hold it for her - not sure what happens if you simply stop using the account. Have you looked at the buyers ratings/feedback - and what else she has purchased. Thought the email was rude also - I received a dress today (that I was planning to wear tomorrow)and she has sent the wrong size Sent polite email explaining mistake - I think that were a buyer makes threats like this it should go against them - shame ebay don't agree. Good Luck
