Does anyone want William as Prince of Wales?

I'm not keen.

Charles made an effort to learn Welsh.

I'm not sure how in touch William is with real life, poverty and politics.
He seems so very bland.

And so very, very English.

I have mixed feelings about the Prince of Wales title. It’s historically and politically complicated. I have nothing personally against William, seeing as I don’t know him, only what’s reported in the Press, but I certainly didn’t ‘love him’ when he lived on Anglesey. Saw his wife in Waitrose once!

He lived in Anglesey for a while and they loved him

No we didn’t.

The more time passes the more angry I am about it.

It's insulting to us, the Welsh.
If there is an investiture I hope there will be a massive protest.

The Welsh take too many things laying down from the English.

Don't understand your problem with them. I'm Welsh and like them a lot.

They lived in Anglesey for a while and were very popular there.

Do you seek to be offended and upset on a regular basis?

Calm down

I don’t want William as anything ! Every time I see him and Kate on this things all I see is red flags and alarm bells ( and I deal with divorces on a daily basis ) . He is abusive probably on more than one way .

What are the red flags you claim to see?

Yes. People are stupid enough to vote for the Tories but at least it’s democratic instead of you’re king because of whose fanny you came out of.

Well if the billionaire Charles wasn’t royal and up for election, would you really want him as your prime minister? 🤔

Why do people always look for the worst alternative. Irelands presidency runs well. Why can’t we have similar to that. If they’re no good you get to vote them out. You could be stuck with KC for another 20 odd years, regardless of his behaviour.

It would be odd if he seemed so very, very Czechoslovakian.

I'd rather have Harry.
He seems a bit more real.
William is a bit of a waxwork

So Harry would have us believe.

Wills and Kate are just dripping in money, privilege and luxury, and clearly have no idea about anything other than what living in complete luxury feels like, alongside being treated like demigods by the many people that iron their shoelaces and dress them, do all their housework, cook, nanny for them, tell them they are wonderful, run their diaries, and whatever else they do. The idea of a Royal family is ridiculous.

But Anne isn't interested in it and Edward is.

Can't comment on Prince of Wales, but gutted that we will have the spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare, spare as the Duke of Edinburgh. I mean has he ever even been here? Princess Anne would be better - at least she's a patron of Scottish Rugby.
Can't we have a vote on it?

@DdraigGoch what is wrong with Sussex?
I'm intrigued!

Have you seen why Sussex Police have been in the papers over the last few days? And what the University of Sussex did to Kathleen Stock?

No, nobody wants him to do a role which is rightfully that of a Welsh person, or that of an elected head of state.

Oh god know. Sussex can keep him, he fits in very well with everything that comes out of Sussex University and Sussex Police.

I live in Wales and most people I know are very positive. I think it's a chance to put Wales on the world stage. They are an attractive couple and I think they'll be sensitive to the Welsh people.

If they were sensitive to the welsh people they wouldn't take on the role

Besides which, what does the prince of wales actually do for Wales?
