Please can someone tell me if they have been in a position whereby their husband applied for court application for the children. I'm 15 months free from my husband. financial agreement yet to be done as it's complicated. i've raised the kids. i have twins aged 12 and a 18 year old. They have always be raised by me as he's put his heart always into work to the detriment of his kids. my twins are not wanting to go due to upset he's caused them. he has joe applied for a court application. i've heard they do a wishes and feelings report for the kids but his solicitor is writing tk me saying that i should overrule their wishes and feelings and it's up to me to make them go. has anyone been through this court procedure and know if the kids get listened to. i don't want them not to see him. they love him and i will always love him for being their dad but i am not going to force them to stay with him.

At 12 my ds went nc with his df despite a court order in place. He didn't argue. No judge would force a 12 to to see their df ime... Remember his solicitor will bully you into submission of possible.. Ignore op.

Ignore his solicitor he is writing what his client wants not what you have to do

Do you have a solicitor?

What’s he seeking? Residency ? or visitation ( eg eow)
At 12 wishes will be given a lot of weight and it’s unlikely a court would force them to go if they really didn’t want to

They should listen to the wishes and feeling of 12 years old as they’re old enough to share what they want.

you say his solicitor is writing to you saying you should make them go. That means absolutely nothing. It’s just a letter.

how often do they see him at the moment?
how often is he wanting to seek via the court?
