Can any French speakers help me please?

I would really like some help translating a few sentences in French. It's been over 20 years since I did my French GCSE and while I can pick out a few words I can't understand all of it! I have made an audio file of the section I need help with and it is only 9 seconds long. If anyone is able to help I can send the link to the audio file in a message.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks again for all your help beggingforsleep, I wouldn't have been able to solve the mystery without your help. I typed some of the text you sent me into google and it turns out that it is spoken song lyrics. The mystery word was la paix!
