Harry Potter and Cursed Child - how strict is age limit?

I want to get tickets for this for DD's birthday. I know she would rather go with a friend than me. Theatre says ticket under 15s must be accompanied by an adult. DD will be 15 but her friend will be 14 (could easily pass for 15 though).
Does anyone know if they're likely to be asked for ID?

probably not.
they tend not to be too strict about age limits unless it's over eighteen. and since she can easily pass for 15 and she will be with a 15 year old, she will most likely be allowed in

The age limit is 10 isn't it? It certainly was last summer. I took my 10 year old. I wouldn't go younger than 10 though. The dementors were a bit scary.

Oh sorry. You're not planning to go....No idea then. There were certainly kids younger than 10 there when we went through so they clearly were not strictly enforcing that....

You more find they are really strict about it because the age limit is more about how accountable or not the theatre/production wish to be for the safety of teens alone in the theatre + after the show. Call and ask what ID is acceptable for the teens? I think you’ll probably need to accompany them tbh.

I think even if accompanied they won't be able to go if they don't meet the age (as I vaguely recall). Why don't you ask the cinema?? Call them?
