Feeling very low

It won't just be me, I know a lot of people are struggling with this. The new lockdown announcement has made me sink into pure despair. I'm struggling to see what we are fighting for anymore - this life does not seem to be one worth living if we are going to be in and out of lockdown indefinitely.

I will almost certainly lose my job now, I was one of the lucky ones to survive redundancy the first time but I know my neck will be on the line this time. No Christmas season is going to cripple the company I work for on an unimaginable scale if this lockdown is extended past 2 December.

I don't want to get up, eat, talk to anyone. It all feels so pointless. I've never felt so hopeless in my life.

I don't have an answer to any of this of course, but can I wish everyone on this thread all the best at this time. Of course, we don't know exactly what is around the corner, but we can only hope that things will get better.

I will be taking this winter 1 day at a time, and looking for the positives.

Take care Flowers

This is a dark time but we'll come through it, and you will too OP. I know it's hard right now though. Is there anyone you can talk to about all this in RL? A partner or friend or parent? Sometimes keeping it all inside your head just weighs you down, and telling someone can help.

I feel the same. What is the point in lockdown when we will be in the same situation a few months after we come out of it?

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation and how down you are, things won't be this way forever. Try and aim for one positive thing to do each day, it will keep your spirits up a bit. We will all get through this, you are not alone in your feelings and when this has all passed (which it will) you will look back with pride on how you made it through 😊 take care.

I was feeling a bit anxious and stressed out last night. Today I had a long windy walk in the woods with the dog, picked leaves up, tidied up and managed a rare two hours in the house on my own minus DH and the teens. I have ordered myself a nice candle, phoned a good friend, phoned my mum, messaged a couple of friends, listened to some music and signed up for 4 weeks much needed virtual exercises classes with a personal trainer. So I am feeling much better now. Take care OP do you have good friends you can chat to over the phone or go for a socially distant walk and natter with?
