I’m so happy, I feel like throwing an end of lockdown party with social distancing of course, once I get my hair done.

We didn't really ever have a proper lockdown to be honest, but indeed today's announcement will certainty help lift spirits.

Yes hear hear, if you weren't sealed into your houses and shot if you looked out of the window it wasn't a proper lockdown so don't complain Hmm

So I can go to the shops, pub, theatre, cinema but my dc cant go to school and I can't find a dentist. There are new outbreaks in many other countries now so I will still keep my family safe and be cautious.

Not for me, it's not. Still no sign of theatres opening any time soon which is what I've been desperate to happen.

But as long as everyone else is happy...

@Stellakent
All those are opening except indoor gyms (but outdoor gyms will be opening).

Well it's felt like a lockdown to me. No visiting friends or family (until recently), no shops, pubs, restaurants, cinemas, gyms, museums, galleries, holidays..... and for me, no work.

I'll be cracking open a bottle tonight.

I hate this attitude. It felt pretty locked down to me, given that I didnt go anywhere except my house and the immediate vicinity on foot, for 8 weeks. What constitutes a "proper" lockdown? Not allowed to leave the house at all? Would you have preferred that?

Anyway OP yes I am thrilled that lockdown is being (mostly) lifted!

I’m wondering if my reflexologist will be allowed to work from the 4th.
I’m desperate for a treatment
