How on earth are they allowed to do this?!?! Watching the news, and they're all rubbing shoulders with each other AND DON'T SAY IT'S IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST! THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE PUBLIC IS PARAMOUNT.

So you condemn the press
Now what can you find to condemn the former chief constable of Durham ?

Former chief constable of Durham police. Mike Barton

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/may/24/defence-of-dominic-cummings-is-shameful-says-ex-durham-police-chief?CMP=twtgu&utmmsource=Twitter&utmmedium#Echobox=1590323927

“It is clear he has broken the rules. It could not be clearer.
I cannot think of a worse example of a breach of the lockdown rules.
For it then to be defended by the government just beggars belief.”
......
“What is particularly sad and undermines completely the government position is
they seem to be operating in a bubble of self-privilege and denial
when they all should be leading by example.

‘Hypocrite’ was invented for these circumstances …
Of course it is double standards.”

Barton added:
“It feels like feudal times.
We make the rules and it is for you, the great unwashed, to follow them.”

There's been roadworks near me recently and every time ive got past the workman have been huddled together about the same distance apart, not every job can be socially distant.

The police would now have problems telling the press to disperse

Police say Dominic Cummings controversy will make lockdown impossible to enforce

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2020/05/24/revealed-police-spoke-dominic-cummings-father-twice-260-mile/

Senior figures fear that lockdown policing is 'dead in the water' and that the public will rely on the 'Cummings defence' when challenged

The press don't make the law
So they are like any other bod not social distancing

Government make the laws that the rest of us obey
So when their mates ignore the laws, it angers many people who've sacrificed to obey the rules

Not even comparable to using your instincts is on that's laughable
The press have been awful throughout

-the paparazzi not social distancing could be viewed as a public service-

I can't believe I just thought that, but I'd never say it.

Well if it's their instinct and they're doing it with Tory brand Integrity and they're parents then apparently it's okay.

I dont give a shit any more, because neither do the government.

I'm still staying home, but the government has lost all credibility to tell others to stay home when they treat it as optional.

I think it's "where possible" now isn't it?. Cummings, Johnston et al obviously didn't practice social distancing as they all caught covid-19 off each other.

So if someone assassinated an idiot because it was an instinct that would be lawful?

If you are Boris and the assassin was Dominic Cummings, then yes.
