Ok i need rational people to calm me down.

As some of you know i have had 2 mc in the last year. My last one was january. Have not been ttc but not been cautious either.

Since mc have had 2 periods first started 26 days after d&c and second was 24 days in to my cycle. I am now on day 34 and would have expected to start af on saturday. No symptoms and small changes are beginning to be apparant, it was DH who pointed out something tonight and then we started looking at dates etc.

DH wanted to go out and get a test tonight but all shops are now shut so will have to wait till tomorrow. Am so scared. someone please just calm me down. fell like i want to cry.

Hi. Praying for your baby and I haven't read all the comments below, only yours as I was desperate to find out if you are pg.

It sounds like you are getting priority treatment and that you are ensuring that you are looked after. Thinking of you. x

OK update: Went to the doctors yesterday and spent an hour crying and trying to explain myself. He eventually agreed that i should be given aspirin due to family history of bood clotting and also took my bloods to check. He referred me to EPU and i have a scan on Wednesday at 8.30, he said it was up to me to convince then i need to be scanned again at 9 weeks. He also has arranged for midwife to ring me next week about booking in etc. All he kept doing was looking at his watch and telling me its no guarentee that i will keep this baby. Had to make him understand that the reason i want all of this is to giove my baby the best chance and that all i wanted was to know if my baby dies and not have to find out at 12 weeks that this baby has died at 7 or 8 weeks like the last two!.

Am feeling more confidnet that i am doing what i can this time and not just waiting for it to happen. No symptoms except tiredness and sore boobs but that could be a good sign right? With my ds i didnt get symptoms till 9 weeks and then they came with avengence but with my last 2 i had symptoms from day1.

bonkerz and hereshoping, congrats to you both!! i was on the ill fated aug thread too, but lost my baby at 16 weeks so only had 1 af since misscarriage in march, ,me and dh have decided to try again, best of luck to both of you, you deserve it ask for early scan at 6 weeks to put your mind at rest and referral to consultant care.

Hereshoping, glad you got a BFp too. I am going to push for the referral and feel quite strong at the moment because i want this baby and know im gonna have to fight to get my rights.
Dh and I havent really acknowleged the baby yet, we are both too scared really. I havent got any signs either really yet except sore boobs which is odd cos i had sickness by now with my last 2 mc. i only have 1 child and dh has 1 but we have none together. I do childmind for 3 kids though which is probably where you got the 3 from!!

Hi Bonkerz - hope you remember me from that illfated aug thread
i had 2 missed mc aug 04 and jan05 and just got another BFP today
I think we also have 3 children each?
my GP is refrring me to EPU, dont take no for an answer as there is evidence that tlc and early scans increase your chances of successful pgs
esp if youve had missed mcs - you need it so you dont have the horrible wait until booking to find out youve lost it
thinking of you and know what youre going thru LOL

Hi I had 2 miscarriages close together, one in Nov 01 at 14 weeks and another in Feb 02 at 10 weeks, I fell pregnant again in October 02 and my daughter was born in Jul 03, so I know what you are going through emotionally. Because of my miscarriages my gp organised early scans and I carried on having scans regularly through my pregnancy, it was really good to have the reassurance of seeing her move about on the scan. I was lucky enough to feel her move at 14 weeks too (I have a son too, born before the miscarriages so I knew how the movements felt) so from that moment on I knew all was well as I could feel her move regularly. The next few weeks will be very emotional for both you and your husband with lots of highs and lows, just rest as much as you can and eat well to give your baby the best possible start. I hope all goes well with you and will keep my fingers crossed.

well firstly congrats bonkerz! I'm due on christmas day too! we shared our last crappy m/c together and now get to get some GOOD luck huh?
take it easy! calm down and keep plenty of tests about so you can retest when you get a 'i dont believe it' moment!!! LOL!
as for your dr appointment. ask for plenty of early scans to reassure yourself. ask them what they think you should be doing -if anything special at all,- and tell them how scared you are. I know how scared you are, after 2 missed m/c myself, but youre doing okay, look (if your due dates right!) you got to 5wks and 3days already!
theres a due in dec thread already, full of us worrying and being delighted and scared all at once. come and see.......
((hugs)) to you!
