Really weird periods

Wondering if anyone can help me make sense of my weird periods?!
I came off the pill in November last year and had a period around 2 weeks later which I thought was normal.
it then seemed to disappear again before returning about 2 months ago.
in that time however, they have only been around 3 weeks apart and bleeding for 2 out of those 2 weeks. Bleeding is also incredibly light which is completely unlike previous before the pill!
just wondering if anyone else had the same and where to go from this? GP seems completely disinterested!
Really feel like I’m losing hope! X

Ooh it’s so confusing isn’t it! I was on microgynon and then rivigdon back to back so wonder if it’s something similar.
Mine are also crazy light and lasting almost 2 weeks so wondering if this could maybe be a progesterone thing also?
So sorry to hear you’re both still struggling, fingers crossed we all get somewhere soon! Xx

@Bobduncan @Lucy1549 that's interesting as I was on Microgynon too. Obviously got a lot to answer for! Sadly it's been 3 years and we're still TTC #1. Currently under fertility specialist and no major issues jumping out. Only noted that I had very low progesterone on 21 day bloods they think I have a hormone imbalance most likely from 15 years of artificial hormones in the pill 🤷🏽‍♀️

@Unicornsparklez I was on microgynon for about 4 years and my periods so incredibly light I might as well not bother with a pad! I conceived on my first cycle a few months ago if this brings you any reassurance. It did end in a MC, however I spoke to the dr and she said my light periods were nothing to do with it as the egg successfully implanted. Hope that helps xxx

Oooh that’s interesting, I’ve been on the pill previously for around 10 years so that could be why I suppose! it’s just so frustrating isn’t it.
im willing to try anything at the moment! Just worried there is something underlying the matter with my periods being so so light and bleeding for 2 weeks at a time. Genuinely on my period more frequently than not now!
How long did it take you to conceive after yourself settled down if you don’t mind me asking?

How long had you been using the pill prior to coming off it? In my experience I had been taking it 15 years and my cycles were off the chart crazy because my body was so used to the control of the pill. My hormones were all over the place and so were my cycles. It took the best part of a year to calm down but now they can be anywhere from 28-34 days. I understand how horrible it is though when you want to TTC and your body is acting all kinds of weird. I considered acupuncture at one stage because its supposedly good hormonal imbalances but my cycles eventually evened out 🙂
