The disappointment of CD 1

Hello.

So today is CD 1 so off we go again.

This is month 8 of TTC nunber 1 and I'm starting to get really disheartened by it all and really starting to worry somthing is wrong which I know is not helpful at all.

Any tips for keeping relaxed about it all and good news stories welcomed ... ... I need them today 😭 x

Hey Kath2020 I’ve been trying since June I also been diagnosed with pcos but the gp here don’t want to help as I already have a child and apparently I have time even though I keep telling them I want a baby now I don’t really no what to do I also had a 43 day cycle for Xmas now having 20 day cycles I’ve never gotten a positive opk and I test everyday after my period I don’t really no what to do now besides keep trying hopefully we get our positives 🥰

Joining 😣 we have been trying for 11 months now with 1 MMC and one chemical. It just doesn't get easier!!! Was super hopeful this cycle as I've recently been diagnosed with pcos and this was my third cycle on metformin which has shortened my first 2 cycles on it but then this one was another long one (43 days) which gave me such hope for a little Xmas miracle 😤😤😤😭 trying to stay positive and not get carried away with worry. Sending love to you all and nice to have some support because when you mention it to anyone else you just get 'oh it'll happen' 😑😑😑😑 Xxx

Sorry girls 😢 try and enjoy yourselves over Christmas and hopefully start fresh in the new year, I know it must be so disheartening. I’ve got back ache so I don’t think I’ll be far behind you both x

Joining you ladies. Cd 2 for me. But after the last 2 months I've had late periods / faint positives and then period rocks up several days late and the line fades ... and so here we go again. I already have 1 DD so am blessed but would love a sibling for her and I don't want it to get to a massive gap. So every CD1 that turns up makes me sad as it's another month lost. This month was particularly hard for me as it was the last month where it would have been a 2 year school gap. Now it'll be 3+ from this cycle onwards.

If you want some hope, I felt pregnant with DS1 on month one.

I am only offering this advice because you've mentioned similar yourself, but with DS1, I ditched ovulation tests and every thing else and just had more sex. 3 times a week every week for six weeks. We did the same with DS2 and it only took us one month with him.

Couldn’t agree more! I had some cramping yesterday then disappeared but I’m second guessing every symptom at the moment. I’m going to try and hold out on testing until Wednesday or Thursday if AF doesn’t arrive! Keep me updated with how you get on 😊

I hate this waiting when I have the cramps and back pain but no AF yet. Not going to bother testing again though.
Hope your doing okay. Your right at least we should know by Christmas so we can relax and enjoy 🎄🎅

Oh no! Hoping it doesn’t come for you - not out yet! I agree though, at least we’ll be able to try and relax over Christmas with a few drinks if it does arrive - just want to know either way. Hoping it happens for you soon.

AF due tomorrow for me. Woke up with all the usual cramps 😭
Did a test yesterday BFN. At least I'll be able to enjoy Christmas and then roll on cycle 9 🙈 getting impatient!

@Arly90 I tested yesterday and got BFN! So have been awaiting AF all day. Think she will turn up tomorrow

So will be onto CD1 of cycle 9 then… 😭 so know how you feel.

I’m ttc number 2 though. Have a DD who is 3 years 10 months.

Hey @Arly90! AF is due Tuesday, I’ve had the most ridiculously sore and swollen boobs for days now! Which I never really get - although I also feel like AF could be coming… did a test this morning and BFN! Although I think it was too early.
When is AF due for you? Have you tested at all?

I think I might go a month not doing ovulation tests. Make me so obsessed 🙈 might just go with how I'm feeling and relax a bit more this month.
I also have my Covid booster on the 14th so the week after ovulation so hoping that doesn't mess with my cycle 🙈 x

Hi @Arly90, I’m CD4 now so not far behind you! We will be doing the same although I ovulate fairly late so will be BD’ing quite late into my cycle. We also usually only have sex around 1/2x a week but will be going for it this month! Excited for AF to leave and get cracking. Fingers crossed for lots of December positives x
