Pregnacare - Positive stories?

Hello...I'm just trying to search to see if anyone has had positive experiences with Pregnacare. I started taking the Pregnacare Conception tablets last week as we're TTC our first baby. My understanding is I can take this version until when/if we become pregnant then I can finish the box and then start on Pregnacare Original for duration of pregnancy? Is that correct?

I understand Pregnacare can not make you get pregnant? It's just to ensure you have the vitamins you need when TTC and pregnant?

So far I've felt ok with them...just a few minor symptoms - brighter coloured urine and my stools seem darker?! (Sorry if TMI) Not really constipated or felt nauseous as I've read other people experience. I have found my appetite has become low (which isn't the end of the world - I could do with losing a few lbs 🤣)
I've also read about it messing with peoples cycles, my AF is only due next week so will see about that then.

I was just wondering has anyone got any positive stories about taking this supplement as I do read a lot of negative experiences about this supplement. I know we're all different and what works for some won't work for others but just want an insight into others experiences.TYIA ☺️

I started taking them this month and about a week away from finishing my first box. No complaints so far. Just my wee is bright yellow but that’s just the excess vitamins. This is my first month taking them so don’t know if they’ve helped but makes me feel better knowing I’m getting what I need. There’s mixed reviews about them .. best just see how you get on xx

I took Pregnacare when we started trying to conceive with my eldest. Having always had regular cycles, my cycles went totally irregular. After some reading online, I found others had had this when taking Pregnacare so I stopped taking it. But it took a very long time for my cycles to return to normal - well over a year. I honestly believe this was due to the tablets, especially as others had had similar issues. It took over 2 years to get pregnant with my eldest, after my irregular cycles etc. I didn't take Pregnacare when trying for my 2nd and got pregnant immediately. I know it will work for some, but for others it won't, or even more it can mess things up. For that reason I'd never recommend taking it (definitely recommend taking vitamins obviously, just not those ones...)

@cloudydays7 I really really really want to wait until my period is late. Ideally test on 13th as I have the day off work. But I dont know if I'll be able to hold out that long. I reckon I'll probably cave on 9th which will be 14DPO. What about you?

@Iloveoreos thank you for your reply...that is reassuring, I will definitely stick with the Pregnacare.

@AMS19 Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻are you going to wait until after the 11th to do a test?
I know what you mean about January being ok too. My ovulation date for January is predicted at 7th/8th. So I will definitely be trying 5th/6th December and then if that cycle does not work then 7th/8th January it is then!

Hi hun. I used pregnacare conception his and hers for a month and fell preg straight way. Highly recommend it. However my thyroid levels were messed up so it ended in an early mc. Ive got a gp in the family and she also told me to take it and has told me to continue taking it..along with getting thryoid under control

33 days is a great length. My original plan was to TTC in decmeber too but we decided to give it a bonus try this month. I ovulate on Monday so am now 4DPO. Period is due Tuesday 11th. We DTD a lot over mt fertile period but obviously given it is my first month "trying" I'm not holding out any hope. But didn't to go for it nonetheless. My predicted period for trying in December is 1 Jan, which I think would be am amazing time to find out I was pregnant. So if I dont fall this month I feel okay about it I think

My cycle length appears to be 33 days. (I'm 36, don't know if that has to do with cycle length?) I've been tracking my AF without an app for a year or so now and my AF does arrive when I expect it to.
I'm currently on CD16 and according to my apps I'm entering my fertile phase.

I'm more wanting to track this month if my AF arrives when I think it will after taking the supplements (17th Nov) and then after that cycle, my next cycle and fertile window & OD is around the 5th/6th Dec so I'm wanting to actively TTC then.

How are you getting on?

@cloudydays7 I use FF. I am BBT tracking and also using OPKs but more because I wanted to see what my body was doing. Dont get me wrong we are actively trying and DTD over ovulation, but i don't plan after 2/3 cycles to stop all the tracking and just be more on the ball over the ovulation days!
Where are you in your cycle now?

@AMS19 I've downloaded 'Fertility Friend' and 'Clue' app at the minute. Im just using this cycle to get used to things and then will actively be trying on my next cycle.

If things don't work out after a few cycles I will look more in detail about using ovulation testing kits.

Oh and I was on the pill for 7 years! So wasn't expecting everything to go back so quickly

Hi. I started taking this on the first day of my withdrawal bleed post being on the pill. Not sure if it was pure luck, or will continue, but mt first proper period was a perfect 28 days later. And now I'm into my first proper cycle and I ovulated on day 13. So apart from the glowing pee 😂😂 I've had nothing bad from them at all! Not pregnant yet but thought that might help
