TTC - Am I pregnant or should I be worried?

I have been trying to conceive for a while now. My dr recently sent me for 2nd & 21st day blood tests, also an internal scan. I haven’t been able to get an appt to discuss (understandably due to what is happening at the moment!)
I have had a full normal (heavy) period since I was last ovulating. I am now a week after my period and have had quite a bit of brown/black spotting for a few days with period like cramps in my lower left abdomen, I took an ovulation test (although it’s a few days early for my usual ovulation time) it was a strong positive. I then took a pregnancy test just Incase, I think it looks like a faint positive. But I’m also worried if I am pregnant as to why I’ve had a period and what this black spotting is, has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thank you

Hi,
It started as a week or more of dark brown blood a week after my period, I also had stabbing cramps in my stomach. It gradually subsided and I just knew I wasn't pregnant, I had slightly tender boobs initially but that went away and then I started getting period pains a week or so later. I came on my period and took another test which was negative. I hope you get better news x

Hi @Slm87, I'm new here too. Sorry to hear it wasn't the outcome you were hoping for... Thank you for sharing - I've been looking for info on this everywhere because I've had a similar experience - pregnancy symptoms, but after my period.

I haven't tested yet, what did your next test say? How did your symptoms change? I'm currently 20DPO...

Turns out it was the beginning of a miscarriage, it wasn't meant to be. Hope you have a happier experience x

Hi @Slm87No problems. The worst when you cant see anyone like the dr. And google not so helpful I found that out. That's why i came on hear for peoples personal experience and advice, someone who can help you, support you. Google dont give you that and most the time gives mixed messages witch still leaves you asking well is it or not lol. Thank you for keeping me updated with the final result. I have a good feeling for you though. My best friend used to feel people was looking at her weird being 6 months preg and more buying tampons but its actually more common than i ever thought 😁

Hi @Aims21 I’m also new here, thank you you so much for taking the time to reply, I did another test just now and it also looks like a faint positive. I’ll try another test in a few days. I just didn’t know who to talk to about this, I can’t see my Dr and I’ve googled all my symptoms but not found anything! I’ll let you know what my test says in a few days. Thank you x

Hi. Im new. Hope u dont mind me chatting to you. This personally for me has never happened. However i no a handful of people who have had a full on period to then find out they was pregnant and had a full term healthy baby. My best friend had periods almost all the way through her full pregnancy and again baby healthy and happy. She only found out one day by a feeling she had.. she said to me i sound crazy as iv not long had my period but it was slightly different to normal and i have a feeling so she did one got a bfp and then told the dr about her period and the dr reassured her after sending her in for a Early scan and she was just under 5 weeks.. so maybe test again in a week to see if the line gets darker and if so off to the drs for ur first scan yayyy hopefuly its a congrats in order. Let us know
