@ChampooPapi aww hi! I do remember you and remember wondering where you had gone,
Sorry it didn’t work out for you, although huge congrats on your twins! That sure does make up for it 😆 xx

@Helensss congratulations on your gorgeous little baby boy. He is lovely! I don't know if you remember I started one of the very early antinatal threads for due in May 2020. I dropped off late October because it didn't work out that time for us but I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with twins girls. I just remembered that everyone on there would have had their babies by now so did a quick search and was so pleased to recognize so many usernames from the thread I created all those months ago, such beautiful babies and such hardcore women too! Birth is quite something isn't it!. All the best to you and your family 🥰🥰

@Sauty thank you! Yeah I’m feeling good now, he’s 1 week old already and he’s doing so well.
Labour started off well and just wouldn’t really progress so I had an epidural as I couldn’t take anymore. They noticed my blood platelets were really low so I had a whole team monitoring the birth! He wouldn’t come down in the end so I had forceps and they noticed my placenta had attached itself to the womb so I had to have it manually removed,
So when he was placed on me it was still another hour yo get the placenta out bit by bit which wasn’t pleasant but it’s done now and he’s amazing! I had to stay in a while as they were monitoring my blood and his blood but we are home and doing really well xxx

Oh my he’s so beautiful 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Give him a big hug from me - loving his name, are you feeling ok @helensss? What happened during your labour? Most importantly though, how did it feel when he was finally placed in your arms? 🥰🥰🥰 Much love and huge congratulations to you though he’s a proper little heartbreaker. 🥰

Hi @Sauty really sorry to read this, I hope you’re ok and have lots of cuddles at hand, and puppy ones too!
It must have been so mentally exhausting for you, definitely do what’s right for you now. Not sure what I can say but sending hugs 🤗.
And just vent on here if you need! No baby as yet no! 40+2 now and just off to midwife appointment, hoping she can do a sweep to see what’s happening xx

Hey everyone @Helensss, had a follow up scan this morning and pregnancy has failed. No growth and no heartbeat found. All ‘product‘ as they call it is still there I think it’s what’s called a missed miscarriage. I’m ok though, I was optimistic but realistic throughout and I’m defo done with trying anymore. I always said I’d know when to stop - and I want to stop.
If it’s ok though I’d like to stay in this group just to see how everyone gets along - and don’t forget to post us a picture of your little boy @Helensss - is he here yet?? Xxx

Omg that’s all very confusing!! 2 sacs! 😬😬
When you say even smaller; what did she say?
It’s such an uncertain time I hope you are ok! I had lots of spotting on and off, had a bit bright red cored at 12
Weeks too xx

Sauty · 10/05/2020 12:21

The scans have caused nothing but more worry and concern.
So I had one on Tuesday - all fine, had heartbeat, measuring a lot smaller than expected.
I didn’t cancel Fridays coz my husband could go to that one - abdominal - they said they could see sac but nothing was in it, so to go to EPU or get a transvaginal scan.
Went for transvaginal scan yesterday - fetus was looking even smaller than Tuesday’s scan but it had a heartbeat. She asked me to go back in 2 weeks time as she wants to check progress - oh and she could see 2 yes, 2 Yolk Sacs. 😬😬
Came home, had a quick bleed and no blood since. I haven’t got a scooby doo what the chuff is happening anymore!
EPU adamant that they will not scan me nor see me at this stage because it’s a Hot Hospital for Covid. Can’t even see my GP midwife at the moment until 26 weeks. Though both are available for telephone conversations.

@sauty no he hasn’t showed up yet!

Oh no really? Have you got any other symptoms, how are things today? Did you cancel the other scan? Xx

@Helensss Hello! Do u have your baby yet??
I’ve started bleeding today. Not spotting, bleeding. I’ve been ok all day and then I noticed after I’d had a nap... I’m not cramping or anything, so I’ll just have to watch out for further stuff happening. I’m ok - really I’m fine. I’ve been really mindful of what can go wrong and I’ve been both positive and realistic throughout. I thought it was weird that the scan on Tuesday was showing as 6 weeks and not 8. Xx

@sauty nothing happened since! Have had a few very mild cramps on and off but nothing really, bit frustrating although it’s positive I’ve lost all that plug,
Wonder if there’ll be more to come,
I hope he doesn’t keep me waiting too long! X

@Helensss well I went into super-panic mode, and ended up booking a scan for today - at a ridiculous cost but I needed peace of mind - which is priceless.
So I went and saw a gestational sac and a heartbeat!!! Measuring 6.5 weeks not 7, but all looking ok. Phew!

Report
Helensss · 05/05/2020 12:39

Yep happened to me! I can’t remember exact dates but I think it was about a week after I got the 2-3 but was still first morning wee,
I completely panicked but just stopped doing tests and then all was ok in the end, googling showed me this can happen a lot actually xx

Report
Sauty · 05/05/2020 11:51

Well I’m not bleeding and I’m not in pain, just a reduction in boob pain. That’s interesting that the 2-3 thing happened to you though as I was just going to start googling.
I’ve contacted my sonography friend - she scans brains not belly’s 😬 and she said Digital Tests and Home Heartbeat kits are made by the devil in so much as they do not give reassurance they just cause women to panic.
So tell me your 3+ : 2-3 story, how, why etc.

Report
Helensss · 05/05/2020 11:44

@sauty that happened to me though! I did a clear blue and it said 2-3 ages after I’d done the 3+ one,
I think they are really inaccurate!

I don’t think you should lose hope yet,
Saturday needs to hurry up, have you had any other symptoms that might suggest something’s gone wrong? If not I think you might be just fine, those tests are naughty xx

A few days yes, but stupidly I’ve been sat thinking about my boob soreness and got myself worked up that it was actually a reduction in symptoms so I’ve done a spare digital test and it’s gone from 3+ nearly two weeks ago to 2-3. Clearly I’ve lost again. 😩😭😩
Can’t get seen by EPU because of Covid situation and their change in guidelines. I’m gutted.

@Sauty yeah I think it’s promising too! Very much waiting around now, only so many times I can keep cleaning the house and reorganising things 😂

Haha that’s very true,‘I haven’t had a wax for a long time down there so god help them but I really don’t care,
I’ll sort it out at some point after.

Haha my friend said that about the tea and toast!

How are you getting on? Few day’s till your early scan! Xx

Report

@helensss wow that’s a very good weight! More show is very promising, so come on little Bobby:Freddie:Theo we are all very excited to finally meet you from afar, around the UK!! I always giggle to myself about something someone told me in my first pregnancy - in so much as the plug isn’t the nicest thing to see, and getting up to go wee every 34 seconds is tiring, and how you worry so much for 9 months - it’s basically practise of what’s to come for the next 18 years + of your life, ie, bodily fluids either chucked over you, projected at a rate that could enter into a world record, the nighttime knackered feeds where your just running on autopilot then worrying at every major stage of their little lives... 😂🤣😂 it’s just preparing you for what’s to come!
I mean who’s ever felt embarrassed about a smear test after childbirth? Certainly no one that I know! I had student midwifes at my second delivery, clearly I had no shame in 5+ students plus the midwife gawking up my private parts, by then I could have been beamed live on Times Square and not given two hoots about it, I just needed to get that baby out. Lol
My first emerged like Superman with his arm out albeit very slowly, second baby came swiftly and the midwife had to catch her.

Oh and that cup of tea and toast they give you after your birth will honestly be THE single most best tea and toast you’ll ever eat in your life.😋
