Hi all I have been ttc no 2 for 18 months, I had a mc in March this year. Would the gp help at all?
Husband had sperm checked a while back and everything was fine, I also ovulate every month.
What else could they help with?

Depends on who you get. I saw a nurse practitioner and she order day 2-5 tests for me initially. That came back fine so dp had a test done. That came back ok so she referred us straight to fertility. Only had a five week wait to see them and had our first appointment last week. It turned out that our tests weren't as normal as we had been told so the tests are to be repeated. I haven't had the day 21 progesterone test. Presumably because they were confident that ovulation was all ok. I had a scan last week and that confirmed I was ovulating as she could see two (TWO!!!) maturing follicles. I have found the service brilliant so far so just ask.

The doctor I saw today said if we have been trying for a year we will be given the chance to get tested and see what's happening with us both.

Definitely worth asking for! Xxx

Hello,

I also had a miscarriage in March on the good Friday 😢 So sorry for your loss, it still very fresh and in my mind a lot. I hope you're feeling ok?

Having terrible trouble getting pregnant again... My periods have gone back to normal.

I've just finished ovulating so crossing everything and praying that we get pregnant this month!

They'll normally do the 21 day progesterone test and ask your partner to come in for a Semen sample and then once there done refer you to the assisted reproduction unit in a nearby hospital Smile

Do see your GP but be aware depending on area the tests they can offer maybe very limited as you already have a lo am assuming you are in England for this answer.
