40 days post implant removal and still no AF - advice and experiences welcome!

Hi All,

I had my implant removed back at the beginning of December after four years of having it in. It is now 40 days since then and I've had no AF and no BFP. I had the implant in for 6 years previously and when it was removed AF came pretty quickly and became regular. This time though it doesn't seem to be happening. Am feeling really frustrated as well as emotional and weepy at the moment. Have been crampy the last few days but no other signs. Feel as if my body is all over the place and was hoping we'd be TTC by now but with no clue what my cycles doing it feels as if we're just in limbo. Has anyone else experienced a long stretch with no AF after the implant? Would love to hear from anyone in a similar position!

I think it's still too early so am keeping fx for you in the next few days! I've said hello on one of the Jan/Feb ttc threads, but yes, it's so busy and you need to be glued to your computer to keep up!

I'm doing okay. Still on AF. Thought it had finished yesterday, but then bad cramps this morning so even though it's light I'm counting today as an AF day. Feeling quite relaxed at the moment, but think that's because I know there is nothing to be done right now. Am using Ovia and Kiindara now to track ovulation and won't need to really start DTD until next Wednesday and that will be early. So am going to enjoy a glass of wine tonight! Have a friend coming over who knows we're trying so will finally have someone to talk to other than the BF who thinks I've lost my mind!

Have you told anyone or got anyone else you can talk to?

I did test this morning and it was negative 😕 but hopefully it's still too early wishful thinking , I did say hello on one of them over 30's but there were so many people it's hard to keep up! My biggest fear at moment is that I won't ovulate again ! As only happened once, how r u doing today?

Hi chicken2015 how you doing today? Have you taken a test again!? I managed to remember to temp this morning but forgot my tablets instead! One day I'll get both of them on the same day! Are you part of any other threads?

Wishing you lots of luck today if you do test!

Well I completely forgot to temp this morning so fat lot of good that's going to do if I can't remember to take it! Oh well. Yes, the sticks look like they could be tricky to read, but since I have the app and hopefully a reasonable idea of when OV will happen I'm going to give them a go this month. If nothing this cycle then I'll get the clear blue for next cycle I think.
I think tmi is the name of the game here! Probably a little bit too early I guess if you're only 7dpo. But it's so hard not to isn't it?! Before AF arrived on Saturday I'd been poas every few days - it becomes like a weird obsession. The Ovia app does seem to be quite good and it's free to download. Hopefully you won't need it though! Keeping my fx for you!

That looks complicated , I got fed up of trying to find out if the lines where darker! So got cb , mayb tmi but got white discharge today so Googled got excited as also have sore chest and just done test and it's negative maybe too early ! Ive not looked at apps I guess cause I've only just started getting periods!

I've ordered the below (hope the link works?!) and it just arrived today...I'm also using Ovia, but think it's predictions may be a bit unreliable at this point as not enough info has been entered (given that AF only arrived on Sat). So I think just lots of DTD once AF finishes and hope hit my FW! Are you using anything other than Clear Blue? I was thinking of ordering a CB kit as well, but have to wait for payday next week. Do you think they are woth the extra cost?

I've had 49 days before periods! Cannot think of anything else! What ovulation kit are you waiting for?

Hi chicken2015

Thanks for your message. AF arrived this weekend so feeling more relaxed now. Hoping it will go back to the regular 30 day cylce and we can start ttc this cycle. Waiting for my ovulation kit to arrive this week.
