Question about ovulation and OPK

Hi, so DH and I have been TTC for many years. This is my first cycle charting. I started OPK testing on CD6 and had all blanks up until a couple days ago when I started getting faint lines, then yesterday and this morning getting slightly darker and then a positive at 2pm today.

I have also been getting really bad pains in my lower left abdomen.

Sooo, my question is; are these good signs that I will definitely ovulate this cycle? I know OPK will not necessarily mean ovulation, just a sign your body is producing more LH and trying to ovulate. But this and the pains, is it looking good?

I obviously have been worrying that I'm not ovulating at all with TTC so long.

I've attached my chart if anyone can help. I've not had a significant temp change so not sure what that means. All this is too much for a newb really. Smile

Maybe you just don't see it? Its gross but a ferret about up there will put your mind at rest. If you still cant find any I can recommend Pre-seed. You can get it off Amazon and it is one of the few lubes that are sperm friendly Smile
It took me ages to go back to the GP but I eventually managed it for bloods this week, they were fine - she was very quick and I stared at the door! Best of luck.

Thank you!! I don't really ever get EWCM but after Googling I've heard there's plenty of women who never ever get EWCM but who have managed to concieve. GPs will have to wait until I've gotten over my needle phobia! Grin

Hello, I honestly could have written your post a few months ago! I've done nearly 6 years ttc but kept my head in the sand for a long time. Having charted for a few months I can just about confirm ovulation with confidence.
To answer your above q 's:
I sometimes get ov pain, it feels like mild af cramps and spotting.
If you've had a positive opk keep temping. 3 days of high temps will confirm you have ovulated.
Check your cervical mucus, it should resemble egg whites around your fertile time.

It's true that a positive opk doesn't confirm ov. But that combined with increased temps for the following 10 days or so, and ewcm will near as dammit confirm it. May I suggest you book in at gps for day 3 and 21 tests? They will confirm your hormones are doing what they ought to.

So in summary - yes, all good signs. Keep temping and dtd!! Grin
