That horrible moment when you see the pee stick and you realise that the weight gain has NOTHING to do with a baby and has everything to do with tons of potatoes and packs of biscuits you've been scarfing for weeks.
Anyone else feel a double dose of disappointment and self loathing recently?

Thanks. 8 week old twins and a 20 month old are exhausting but I'm very lucky sure I'll realize that in a years time or so, if I'm even getting any sleep then . I'm still looking a good 20 weeks :(

Its just so rude! I carry my weight around the tummy, am ttc (had ivf in november, got the bfp then mc - am doing ivf 2 this month). So during this process i have really reduced my excercise so i'm feeling super wobbly in the tummy area. i dont really care as its part of my BFP plan, but there is a lady i work with who never looks me in the eye, always looks at my tummy and i'm so so sure she thinks i'm preggers. fx i will be soon, cant wait to tell her. i bet she says, wow, you've been pregnant for about 2 years!!!

Plus I am truly Envy of you if you can get pregnant enough to be showing, and have to do a test to find out - I wish I could be preggers and not know about it! Smile

Oh gosh. It doesn't mean you're fat Sad

It probably just that they can't tell - I've been looking at other mums at school and thinking 'is she or not?' only because I am pg and very conscious of it. It's not that ANY of them is actually fat, it's just maybe they have a bit of a slightly rounded look just there in that particular area.

I haven't asked anyone yet though Smile It's one of those questions when it's better to just wait and see!

I got asked this week by a colleague - are you having a baby? I said Er no where did you hear that?! She said someone told her but refused to say who so do I assume a. She heard I was on the gynae ward recently and assumed I was diffed there were no beds on the surgical ward, b. someone else assumed I was for the same reason and told her, c. There was a case of mistaken identity several pregggers girls at work, or e. the worst-- that I was because I have gained so much weight since I've been ill and not exercising and my boobs were massive because AF was due?! Blush Nightmare.

Yup. Every time the witch appears I vow to lose weight this month in time for my bfp next month....I carry my weight on my stomach too :(

Not recently but a few years ago someone asked me when the baby was due. It wasn't. I was just fat. So I told her and she was VERY embarrassed.

No self-loathing on that occasion but I usually have bags of it, especially when I look in the mirror and see a fat middle aged bag and not the lithe 25 year old that lives in my head.
