I had this procedure yesterday and am now at home off for the next week just wondered what I am supposed to do now in terms of next steps? Just wait and see? How will I know if it has worked or not? I have Clomid resistant pcos been ttc for nearly 9 months

Incisions all healing well here too, and sex seems perfectly manageable. If it DID work this month, I wonder how quickly I could test for it. Though I do try to avoid testing in general, as the cost just gets a bit silly!

Just got back from the docs she said it was slightly red and in her professional opinion 'mucky' has taken a swab and I've got some antibiotic ointment to out on that should clear it Smile

No, nothing like that here. I think you should phone, or pop to your GP. How long ago was your op?

I am embarrassed to say I have been too wussy to look at mine! DP is washing the incisions and changing the dressings for me, but he says that on the first day they were red, the second day pink, an now a paler pink. I was told to go to my practice nurse if there was any pus or ooze or blood or smell. Do you think you should get yours checked out? Are you washing and changing dressings?

Odd question but can I ask what your belly incision is looking like? The 2 lower ones are ok and healing well but the belly one is a bit smelly??? Anyone else having this problem? Infection do u think or just because I have had dressing on it?

How are you feeling now, btw? I feel quite a lot better today - less tired and sore and over-emotional!

Yes, I had one at the beginning of July, but my cycles are so incredibly unpredictable that I have no idea when another one might have been due!

Dh and I are not at the mo as like u my stomach around the incisions is a bit sore. May give it s go at some point this week tho as it is getting better. Did u have a period before the lap? I think u can get preg if u have one before then have the lap then SWI. I didnt have ones I dont have them at all without induction so I was told to wait for a period then SWI got an apt in 4 weeks tho so hopefully they will b able to sort it if nothing has happened

I had mine on Wednesday, but don't get a follow up appointment for 3 months :(

Despite my post on the other thread, I think I am actually spotting rather than menstruating.

Are you having sex, pinkapples? My stomach is decidedly sore, but I keep reading stories of people becoming pregnant in the first month after the operation, so don't want to miss a good chance!

I spotted straight after for a day or so also with some remnants of blue but nothing since been told just to wait and c if it happens naturally but got an apt in 4 weeks so...Smile

Sorry last message doesn't make sense. I think I had af without provera due to metformin but I think the bleeding after the scan was due to the dye they use.

Report
MalibuStac · 25/07/2011 04:32

I bled straight away then again a month(ish) later. But I think that was the metformin. Have you bled? I think the dye brought on my bleeding.
